As Qinon was hunting in the wild not far from his hideout, he spotted in the distance a large, black pillar.
As Qinon came nearer, he could tell that the pillar was very strange: Not only was it wider than a man, and three times a person's height, it was also hewn out of a pure, black stone. Obsidian, maybe, Qinon thought. He knew a lot about valuable stones after all. And in the middle of the wild…, he thought.
Qinon stood there for a long time, wondering. Who had put the pillar there? why was it so large? Was it put here by some strange creature who had the strength of hundreds? Had it maybe been a part of a giant temple, or of a black, towering fortress?
Qinon eventually decided that staring at the pillar would not hunt him his evening meal and continued his search for something he could shoot.
And as the pillar disappeared out of his sight, he forgot all about it…
The pillar is pretty good. With a bit of work to the foot and capital, it would look good in a larger building. I think that elaborate bases work better when they extend farther than the surface of the dioramas they contain, but the octagonal shape is nice. It's always good to see someone experimenting. Keep up the good work!
