MocOlympics R2: Stormbringer vs Werjedi°
In other news today, a man was swallowed by a whale. He ran all the way down to it's end until he was pooped out.
About this creation
Category - Biblical Build! Whether you believe in the Bible or not, the Good Book is full of incredible stories. Select a Bible story and recreate it in LEGO.

My opponent, Werjedi ° , and his Entry .

My chosen story is an Old Testament goodie which is that of Jonah, who tries to flee from God's will after he told him to go to some notorious city. Jonah tries to go off in the opposite direction, only to have disaster follow.

His actions only to bring the wrath of God upon himself and to the boating crew he's with (who are only innocent bystanders during this event).

God then throws a vicious storm into their wake and sends a monstrous whale to gobble Jonah up..

"What the whale is that? It's coming straight for us!"

Ok, so it wasn't exactly storming where I was making the scene.
At least the guys on the boat could SEE the monstrous creature below.

With the whale coming towards them and the vicious storm threatening to destroy their boat, the crew were more than happy to get rid of the unlucky Jonah, who had done nothing but sleep and eat all their rations.

Adios, Jonah! Oh wait, wrong country...

________

Here's a few bonus shots. My pool (or my parent's pool) has a lighting effect that can luminate the inside, which works nicely for my whale monster.

The pool was one of the main reasons why I chose to do Jonah.

P.S. Ingore the hand, the whale is just being held up by a friendly Titan :)

Actually it's being held by my brother, who was very brave in withstanding the freezing pool >:D

___________

Some more images of the whale itself.

It took a while to get the boat to float properly, but the strange thing was the whale manages to float with almost no difficulty.

I guess this means I'm ready in case if I come across a "will it float" category during the MocOlympics.

Quoting Delatron 3000 Great build! Love the whale, but your choice of location for the photo shoot sells it brilliantly. Excellent stuff, congratulations on advancing.
Thank you! I just hope I don't get a category where I have to make a Moc float, because my pool's closed now.

I love the idea that your 'whale' does not look 'whalish'! I looks more like a ferocious fish. There have been many scientific studies dealing with the ability of a toothed whale to swallow a man whole. I believe I've also read where the original word in Aramaic was translated incorrectly and really was meant "sea monster". :)
