MocOlympics Round 2: Saequis vs Lego Junkie
"Fairy Fail". In which Fairy Tales meet the cold hard reality of life. Let's face it, Prince Charming could never really win 'em all. Not every distressing damsel gets her knight in shining armor. Pick any classic Fairy Tale, only this time, show us a rendition where things go...painfully wrong.

This is my second entry to the MocOlympics and for my category I have taken quite a literal meaning to the phrase "where things go...painfully wrong".

This is based on the fairy tale "Rapunzel" where the prince has to scale Rapunzel's prison tower and rescue her using only her long, golden hair. Unfortunately, in this universe Rapunzel had a very weak spine and...you can probably guess the result...

Onto the Moc - Rapunzel's Tower:

The whole building:

Cliff and dangerously sharp-looking rocks...

Some foliage surrounding the castle:

Rapunzel herself, not looking particularly happy right now:

Some perspective shots of the prince falling:

That looks fairly painful...

Back views:

The Enchantress's secret cave in the rock:

Without figs:

Full shots:

Minifigures, left to right: Rapunzel, Prince Charming, Enchantress

A potion, spider and crystal ball showing the tower on her desks:

Prince Charming: Farewell and good luck to everyone taking part in Round 2!

Quoting Nicholas matheson This is cool (but vile) and I think that this should be HISHE: How Rapunzel should have ended! By the way, how do you enter a contest?
Thanks Nicholas. I too am a fan of HISHE :) To enter a contest, you simply have to look out for contest groups at the right time, e. g. The Bio Cup, which Inhabe just been eliminated from. Anyone can join these contests and most of them are annual. I hope that helps, although if you want more information you could ask common contest starters such as Yuri Fassio or Mr. Xenomurphy. Thanks again!

Quoting Delatron 3000 Unlucky on not advancing. I've got to say this gave me one of the biggest laughs in the whole contest so far when I saw the full picture - excellent stuff!
Thanks - I love dark humour so expect some more of this in the future!

Quoting matt rowntRee Gruesomely hilarious, just like Sam's. I think that this was one of the tougher ones to judge. Both are excellent. I preferred your choice and execution. Made me laugh. I love twisted humor like this and look forward to see what comes next. Spectacular!
Thank you very much for the kind words, I hope to do more along the lines of dark humour in the future!

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist Haha, I'll admit that your entry is humouristically superior. However, your opponent gets my vote for his more effective building. I think had you coordinated the design and colour scheme of your tower a little better, perhaps imitating an existing feature, you might have swayed me. Still, hilarious work!
Thanks for the comment and the tips!

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy Sam, this is an excellent creation and beautiful dark humor. To your misfortune you have a very strong opponent and though my vote goes to him, I really hope to see more of you in the future.
Thank you for the comment, I hope to participate in next year's contest.

Quoting David Alexander Smith A clever idea well executed (pun intended). Poor girl what a way to go. Love the sense of movement captured in the the tumbling prince. Great build, but unfortunately I had to acknowledge the quality of your opponent's build of Goldilocks. Sorry you didn't get my vote. Good luck with the other judges.
That's alright, I agree his build was very good. Thanks for commenting.

Quoting Stormjay Rider Oh my something or other... though it would be more believable for Rapunzel to be pulled off the tower in entirety and dash herself on a rock.
Yeah, the prince may have had a few doughnuts too many...

It took me a full second to realize what I was looking at. Lol, that is gruesome!
