Tan 5 wide (updated - with full minifig)
I have been wanting to get back to this one for a while now. The following solution could not be applied to the dark red car unfortunately.
About this creation

Thanks too piece #30029 this model was possible.

Adding a bit of detail.

Then the wheels and railpieces to turn this 4 wide chassis into a 5 wide one.

Adding a front and a rear.

And the final piece of the puzzle, is to use lamp holders to attach the sides.

This insures that the gap to the front and rear match up (in theory at least).

There he is sitting as low as I think is possible.

With the sides on and with another fig for reference.

And the roof. Only thin hairs will fit, so no hats.

Works okay as a convertible too.

99 pieces. Lxf file availible as usual if you want to play around with the design.

Quoting Vinny Turbo Wow ! Excellent 5-wide! Please don't forget to add it to the 5-wide studless cars' club. And I hope to see more of those from you.
Oh I thought It was there already, better add it then : )

Quoting William Everetts I could only build it in standard red (without the instructions) and I love the detail also in it's convertable state it looks like Maxwell Smart's (GET SMART) Sunbeam Tiger.
The 1x3 flat tile piece might actually be one of those pieces that Lego dosnt produce, but which you can still found for sale on Bricklink, so donīt hang me up on it : ). If you do make a car using this idea though, please leave a comment, Iīd like to see it.

The design might be a little boring, but the building techniques are excellent! A very clever way to combine 5-wide, 4-wide and SNOT elements. Great job! :-))
