The next installment of the samuron combiners is here! For this one, I really wanted to capture the esscence of the TFP chest, as well as making the vehicle mode much like sledgehammer's. I really liked the idea of the seperated parts, but I thought they'd look better on the front instead of the back. So, here it is. I've made him transform into a cybertronian shuttle. He carries a gun that can attatch onto the top of the vehicle mode and rotate, and to numerous places around his body in his robot mode. It really works well, I think...
About this creation

Declan: Greetings, fellow MOCers. Welcome back to my glorious MOCs.
Spectre (Off Camera): Quit the politeness and start talking!
Declan: Shut up, Spectre. You're not the boss of me.

Declan: Anyway, sorry about that. My partner here was just being a bit difficult. But never mind. It seems he has walked away in a tantrum.

Declan: Well, I was going to let him explain where I've been, but he's gone now. So, I guess it's my job.

Declan: I was offline for a few days, hence no activity. I was down in woolongong with my grandparents. I've built a wierd legoformer that will be ending up in the lost in time section, so look forward to it.

Declan: As for why I've not been posting any actual 'MOCs', it's because of exams. The yearlies are coming up next term, so I have to study for the holidays. Its easier to write novels than make MOCs, so I've been focusing more on the CYOA. Sorry about that, but there will be a kind of 'MOC shortage' for now.

Declan: Until then, I do hope you enjoy these two MOCs while I work on studying. I will be posting the CYOA chapters later, but for now I need to be the best I can be. Even though I don't like some of these subjects, I still need to do well in then. Until next time, happy building!

Hooray for the return of the captions! Since I'm not posting these at school, I have all the time in the world to add captions to these photos!

Sledgehammerís Bio - Stormrider is the team leader and as such forms the torso and upper arms of Samuron. His vehicle form is a Cybertronian Jet.

Not much for a bio, but I guess itíll do. In my version he transformers into a cybertronian shuttle. This LTC former is one of my largest yet, and Iím proud of almost everything. I donít really like the head, though. Oh well, nobodyís perfect.

You can see here that I implemented the seperated parts from chris' version, but I placed them at the front rather than the back. It really looks good from all angles, and at no point does it look like these parts have been forcefully put into place. Well, maybe the legs are a bit obvious, but who cares! I designed them that way, so I certainly don't!

On a close up, you can see that not everything fits in perpendicularly, but it does create a good effect nonetheless.

The seperated sections look great on close ups too!

You see that cool part there that's left open?

Well, that's for the gun! I didn't make it anything special; it's just a two-by-one barrel with seperated parts. Also, I didn't give him a sword because his hands are already swords. It would be a bit overkill to put a sword on a sword, don't ya think?

The gun attatches differently for the vehicle mode than it does for the robot mode, as it's only meant to rotate in vehicle mode. Due to the axel piece, it can fully rotate 360 degrees and pretty much shoot anything.

The gun isn't much, but it still makes this guy look a little more awesome!

In a size comparison with a standard minifigure (me), I can tell that my guys have been getting a whole lot bigger lately (with the exception of dragonmosque).

Transformation time! I'll cancel these captions for a while because there's nothing really to talk about.

Okay, that's how you transform him. He looks totally epic in robot mode, and his sword hands make him look fit for his leadership status.

I may have said this already, but his chest was mainly inspired by transformers prime. His legs look pretty cool as well, with the exception of the bad waist.

He doesn't look too bad from the back either. The open back part doesn't stick out too much...

His articulation includes:
___- torso rotation on a t-joint, which also allows it to move up and down
___- the shoulders move forward and back
___- he bends at the elbow
___- he bends at the hands
___- the legs move in and out
___- the knees bend
___- the feet bend

Here are some close ups. The feet are really designed well. Nobody would ever guess that they're hiding splitting legs...

The TFP/Bayformers chest is my fave part about this legoformer. But I'm not too happy with the head. Oh well...

A size comparison with me (again) and GUNDAMS!

Well, to finish off I suppose I'll show you where the weapon can be stored.

The open part where the head was has a purpose.

The gun fits nicely in there.

You can barely see it tucked away in there, so it'll be good if he ever goes on stealth missions (metaphorically speaking).

Also, you see that hole? Remember when I said there were two different systems for each mode?

I LIED! It fits in his hand just like it would in vehicle mode. :P
It can also fit on his side-parts, like robocop, but I forgot to take those photos.

Declan: Thanks for checking this out. Have a nice day!

Guncannon: HOLD IT RIGHT THERE! I demmand that you cease all lego hobbying and dedicate your life to gundam!

Declan: Lol, nope!
Stormrider: Time to obliterate you.
Guncannon: Oh shi-

BOOM!
Declan: Well, I guess that's that. I'm not gonna stop...
Stormrider: I hope not...

Quoting andros tempest Nice attempt, shame you couldn't get all the pieces in a more coherent colour scheme. There is a lot of promise here for better things to come.
I do things a bit differently to you. As a mainly LDD builder, I can see where you're coming from. However lego is a lot more expensive in Australia, and it's only going to get more expensive with the new liberal government. I go for pieces, not colours. Don't worry, though. You may eventually see this guy in pick-a-brick form.
Quoting Chris - The SledgeHammer Great job with Stormrider! This one's definitely my favorite of the 5/7 you've built so far. Although Silverhawk is still my favorite name of the group. All that's left now for you to do is Wedge the excavator/construction vehicle and then Medix - the medical drone that had a toy jet mode in the big version - I look forward to them!
And the upgrade for this guy! Yep, I got bored last night and made a cool upgrade armor thingy for him. AND HE GETS A SAMURAI SWORD! Yep, couldn't resist. Also, I'm thinking of making medix a triple-changer, and not a toy jet. It seems to G1-like, and LTC is a bit more futuristic. And then, I may make a combo model that is samuron! (Oops, I've said too much...)
