Barrett M82A1
modern warfare category. After a very long wait, i proudly present to you the Barrett M82A1! So many BrickLink orders it was insane! i ended up rebuilding and remodeling the forward receiver and the body a total of 5 times, making the working features perfect, and the eight sixteen holes on each side 3 studs wide, still making the gun completely studless. The gun measures a clean 57" the exact length of the real thing! My main goal for this creation was A: Not to copy PyBrick like everyone else, (no offense to anyone who did, that is reading this) and B: Too make it sturdy enough to run around my house with and terrorize my family. I think my parents would agree that i achieved my goal! Hope you like it. Credit to my main man Jamie, who edited the main picture on his green screen! He did a great job . and again, hope you guys like it! -Features- -Working trigger -Working bolt -Bolt pulled back, visible 50, caliber rounds -Working Bipod (Credit to my main man Zeke) -Working safety -Collapsable monopod -Spinning scope knobs -Flip up Iron sights -Scope caps that move on and off -Completely hollow Barell and Muzzle Break -Folding Bipod that locks at two positions. (Credit to Zeke again) -Folding carrying handle
About this creation

It was extremely hard to get a full pick of this thing, and of course it would not have fit in my picture box that i used on my previous guns! Instead, i used a big white bead spread!

If you look for that green box, you will notice how many times it moves around in my room as i start to try to keep it out of the shots haha!

The scope was a lot of fun too make, i wanted to do something different, instead of copying PyBricks awesome design like the majority of what everyone else does.

This part of the gun was annoying to keep stable and studless. The studless parts of the holes are actually 1x8 tiles going all the way through from one side, to the other.

Safety off, after re-design, the Trigger moves great and the safety moves on and off with a great sounding "click".

"Yo". Just a bendaroo drawing my dad did probably five years ago haha!

Scope taken off, Iron sights flipped up.

Iron sights flipped down.

Yes, thanks for noticing! 50. cal. rounds are visible when the bolt is pulled back! another picture in a few.

The stock, notice the metal screws placed where they should be.

The monopod cannot support the full weight of the gun, but it is still very cool!

The massive magazine was one of the first things i built, it goes from 4 studs in width to three, pretty easy to do.

The 50. caliber rounds! If you look closely towards the bottom of the more visible one, you can see a second below. the Rounds are not connected to the magazine like PyBrick's awesome design, but its the next best thing!

The iron sights, ADS.

The ACOG sight.

This is a slightly different version of Victor Vorchevski, only because i did not have the correct engine pieces to make his brilliant design! Check out his guns and his instructions for his ACOG!

The barrel is completely hollow for no reason at all!

The pistol grip taken off, showing off my safety mechanism.

Hope you understand how the safety works!

My crappy lamp fell, thanks to my cat like reflexes (lol) i dodged it when i heard it fall, and it karate chopped my Barrett clean in half, notice Zeke's bipod perfectly intact!

Well i hope you liked it, expect a Thompson from me next. So please, give it a like! -Silly

Thanks for the comment on my design, I decided to check out your work and I'm quite impressed. Your guns are universally excellent and look extremely similar to the real things. I wouldn't be surprised if you were one of the very best Lego firearm builders on MOCpages. :)

Quoting Brandon Miller Wish I could help promote your build through Barrett but we generally don't promote other items. Your page has been seen quite a bit around here though as I have shown it to others and many have asked about it.
What position do you have in Barrett? Like what do you do there? And the Barrett 98b is coming along great. Considering I am only fifteen I don't have a lot of money, I have a few creations on standby for my friends green screen, once I take them apart I will then finish the model 98 and bring it back to the green screen! It looks great so far!

Quoting Brandon Miller Sounds great. And yes I am an engineer at Barrett. I've been around LEGO my entire life. Still have all of my original ones and my son is now 7 and loves all of his too.
Is there any way you could help advertise my creations through Barrett? That would be so awesome! I have been a huge fan of Barrett firearms for a long time and it is so cool for me that you are talking to me about my guns, it is truely an honor! Thanks

Quoting Brandon Miller Do you have build instructions for this M82A1? I work at Barrett and would love to have one of these sitting on my desk.
i really wish i still had this built, it would take months to rebuild and would not be as fun as making a gun i have not tried yet, i can still make something of Barrett, perhaps the model 98B? I will gladly send you instructions!

Quoting ArcticWolf . 10/10 for accuracy, 9/10 for demonstration, and 10/10 for revelance to the category! You were one point away from a perfect score, if you had a plain back ground. But still, great build.
Thanks :D! How is the m4 score coming?

Quoting ArcticWolf . Cool! Also, I'd like to request you make an M16. I searched it, and pretty much all the builds are multicolored. Also, could you maybe call me a favorite builder?
i actually am building a M4, which is pretty much the same thing, only with a slightly different upper receiver! i will be uploading it for the contest in the next few days, thanks! and i will right now.

Quoting Timo The Dutchman Great job! I love the working functions, but to be honest, it still looks a lot like PyBricks version (I can clearly see your own adjustments, and of course it's difficult to make it different). That doesn't really matter to me (I took it as well), so still a awesome remake!
what do you mean? the only real thing that looks like his is the color? naturally a black barrett M82A1 will look like another black M82A1, but i did not base mine at all off of his, only thing i was looking at while making this was a few photos of the real thing, and some family guy. but thanks anyways!

Beautiful! Everything about it is...well...perfect! Every time you make a new gun it seems you improve as a builder, and this is no exception. Excellent job, I wish I had that many black pieces! Lately I've been pretty lazy, but I think you've just inspired me to build something new. I think I'll build another gun that few people have built (like my 30-30). Anyway, I know you've put a lot of time and effort into this thing, and I'd say its one of the best guns on Mocpages.
