A Duel With a Wizard. (LoM)
It is I, Avelese. There have been rumors about an evil wizard living in a village near Tomeu. He has been terrorizing the village. The people sent a letter to me asking for my assistance. So, I have set out on a quest to stop this wizard from continuing to destroy the land and its people. After I had greeted the village. They told me where they think he can be found. They said he can be found near some ruins of a small lookout fortress. So off I went.
About this creation
This is a free build for The Land of Mython

It was dark when I arrived at the lookout fortress. I felt very uneasy, thinking that I should have taken someone along with me. I took out my elven sword and shield and waited....

"Who has entered my domain!?!" a voice shouted. A bright light suddenly shone around a wizard in front of me

Avelese: It is I, Avelese! Nerogueian Commander. I have come to stop your evil plans!

The wizard made no response at first...

Wizard: So, Avelese, you have come to defeat me? Well, PREPARE TO DIE!!!!!

All of a sudden, everything went dark...

Then, a flash of red revealed a flame shooting forth and coming straight at me!!

I had barely enough time to act. Thankfully I have quick reflexes and put my shield up to block the flames.

Now it was my turn to charge.
"For Nerogue!!!" I shouted as I rushed forth towards the wizard.

I struck straight at his staff to break it (as it is said, "Never trust a wizard with a staff")

When I struck it, A bright blue light flashed forth and the staff was broken in two!

Then, all was dark once more...

Then, the wizard shot blue flames straight at me. Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared...

The flames struck me and threw me against the wall.

I thought my time had come... for the wizard was powering up his final blast to strike me dead.

Suddenly, an axe flew through the air.......!

And struck the wizard dead center!

\

All was dark... The wizard was defeated!

I turned and saw a dwarf!
"Thank you!" I said with much gratefulness. The dwarf replied,"It was my duty, as one of your soldiers, and as a fellow Nerogueian."
Avelese: "May this be the start of a great friendship between us!"

I was very grateful... but then I felt uneasy once more....
Avelese: Watch out!!!!!
The wizard wasn't dead!

I quickly got my shield and sword (elven sword of course). It's a good thing too! For at that moment the wounded wizard shot flames at me!

This time, I was prepared. Instead of getting shot back. I ran straight into the flames with my shield held high. I had so much force that I forced the flames straight back at the wizard!

A white light shone once more. The wizard was on the ground...

Then he spoke.
Wizard: Whoever kills me will have a curse: that he will never see day, only night, as long as he lives.

Avelese: This is grave... However, it is better for the land to be rid of you!!!!
With that, I swung my sword for the final blow!

However, I purposely missed the wizard and hit the pillar instead!

I struck it with such force that the pillar broke and the ledge came crumbling down...

Right on top of the wizard!!!! The light instantly went out. This time, I was sure the wizard was defeated.

Dwarf: Avelese! You killed him! Now you won't be able to see day!
Avelese: Ahh, that is where youíre wrong. You see, I didn't kill him, the ledge did! I didn't want to take the chance to directly kill him. Oh, and by the way, itís a good thing your axe didn't kill him!

With that, I and the dwarf,(His name is Imgil) started off to go back to the village. Quite happy with the results of the duel.

Photos of the build!!!

Side view.

The ledge.

The crumbling remains of the small fortress.

Another crumbling wall.

Another corner.

I wanted to do something different for the side, and this is what I came up with!

The whole build.

See you later! Thanks for looking! God Bless!

Extra shot (I thought about this one for the Title Photo). The actual title photo is the shadow of this posing.

Ok, that works. Sorry for shooting holes in your story; it's not like mine are known for their literary worth.

Quoting Gilbert Despathens "I didn't kill him, the ledge did!" That's kind of like saying, "It wasn't my fault, my bullet did it," or something to that effect... it's not a defense that would normally stand up in a court of law. I think it would be cool if Avelese had to deal with the curse - it would add an interesting touch to his character.
True. I felt like I had to have the "if you kill me there is a curse" type of thing. However, I couldn't let my character be affected by the curse. So that's what I came up with. A bit lame, :P, I know, but whatever. Maybe the curse was just a way to scare them and that it was fake. :)

Out of all your LOM builds this might be my favorite! The ruins are excellent, but the grass border looks kind of funky.
