2WC Natural Disaster Contest: Aftermath
My entry into the Contest Group's Natural Disaster Contest.
About this creation
This is my entry to the Contest Group's Natural Disaster contest. In this MOC, I chose to portray the aftermath of an earthquake in a developing country as best I could.

Some of the rubble:

...because everyone knows Lego houses are held together with Technic pins.

Seems a bit rough, to be honest. It doesn't particularly look the aftermath of an earthquake either. The technic pins are a nice touch, though. Presentation is good. 15/25

It seems very messy, and while a natural disaster should be messy, it's a different sort of messy. Kind of controlled chaos. Everything needs to have a reason. To be honest, I wouldn't really know what the structure is without the description either. Nevertheless, overall it's pretty good, I like your portrayal of rubble. The theme, while another earthquake, was also different because it was after the earthquake, not during. The presentation could be better though, the photos were really yellow. 14/25

Seems to me it's basically just rubble. There are no people trying to fix this hut, there are no people anywhere, and had you not said this was after an earthquake, I would really just think this was something a kid tried to make with uneven walls. Build isn't really showing disaster in a clear way, Theme is kind of there, but presentation helped. 13/25

Quoting George Marshall Looks great! Is this supposed to be a house though? I can kind of see the resemblance, but maybe some more features could have been added to the house to make it seem more "housely", like a chimney or the remnants of a door or something. Anyways, great job, and good luck in the contest!
Not as much a house as a hut...
