Semovente 75-18 SPG
My recreation of Lego Major's fine Italian Semovente 75-18 SPG. I probably did not get all the fine details the same as he did. But I think I got it pretty close. Another fun, small tank to build. Plus you got to love it when your tank is only 310 pieces! :)
About this creation

The real deal. :) One of my smaller tank builds. It is almost completely hollow, so it is super light. I had to change a few things from the LDD file because a lack of certain pieces.

Quartering away. Showing some of the rear exhaust, and the engine bay. Not much on the rear end, but I have seen pics of them mounting some extra fuel cans on the rear end, so I will do the same.

The business end of the 75-18. The Italians did not have very many reliable tanks during WW2, but the 75-18 "performed" well, most of the time. :)

I was able to keep this tank relatively low to the ground, like the real tank. It looks good next to figs, I think it came out pretty size appropriate. Because of the small size, it only holds one fig up top. But when my son is playing with the tanks, that is all he needs.

All hatches opened. :) For the real one, I ended up building a small motor inside the rear hatches. Large enough to keep the 2 hatches at their proper angles, slightly angled up. :)

Quoting Dr. Monster Fantastic MOC! Great design, and it's nice to see less popular armor get some play.

Quoting Alex Sonny Hey, I love it! It's small and cute and all that, and the detail is astonishing. But I'd really like more pictures of the real one, if you could, please :)
Thanks Alex! The 75-18 and my Japanese Ha-Go are my 2 smallest tanks. Both of them are under 400 pieces, so they are both quick, fun lil builds. :) I will try and get some more pics taken today or tomorrow for ya.

Quoting lone wolf Awesome little SPG! I have to say i'm not all too familiar with this vehicle (I'm mostly into German and American vehicles). Guess the Italians did have a taste for armor. Looks very accurate from what I can tell, nice job.
Thanks. I am only familiar with this one and it's tank cousin the M14/41. And that is only because the Afrika Korps actually used some of them while waiting for newer tanks. :)
