About this creation
Two Days Later…
It had been a quiet couple of days. No running. No shouting. No fighting. Blast and his fellow survivors had been allowed to relax for the first time in numerous years. On board The Manipulator, Blast was sat asleep in his favorite chair in his quarters, when a tiny whirl of pink smoke suddenly appeared on the floor. It grew in size until Bisvernicof the OvaSeer quietly emerged.
He smiled at the sight of Blast sleeping and perched on the edge of the desk next to him.
R.K. grunted in his sleep, bad dreams of the final battle still fresh in his mind, and woke himself up. He licked his lips with his eyes closed and sighed a contented sigh.
“I must congratulate you on your victory, young Commander.” Bisvernicof suddenly announced and chuckled as Blast lept from his seat, ready for a fight, in shock at the sudden voice.
“You!” He said and slumped back into his chair. “Don’t do that again.” After a moment’s silence, he added, “The last time I saw you, you were being engulfed in the jets of a G.C.C. shuttle. How are you still alive?”
“You know me Blast. We OvaSeers have a habit of surviving when others cannot. I escaped with only minor injuries which I was able to heal, myself, in moments.”
Blast scowled and sighed.
“Anyway, with a bit of luck, I won’t need to see you again.” Bisvernicof smiled and Blast frowned. “I’ve done it." he continued. "I’ve found a way to get you back home!”
Blast’s eyes widened and he sat up. “How? Where?”
“I’ve found a tiny crack in space that could be enhanced and enlarged to create another wormhole. Much like the one that you came through to get here.”
“Then what are we waiting for?” Blast jumped up again.
“It will be very dangerous. You might not make it out the other side.” Bisvernicof too stood up. Blast thought about it and then asked,
“Why are you helping us? Not that long ago you tried to kill us all and since then we tried to kill you. Is this just another trap to try and rid the galaxy of us?”
“Blast, I’ve told you before. The OvaSeers are the peacekeepers of the galaxy. We wanted to kill you because without you there would be no war and no war would mean peace. But now that Iadsgb is locked away and the rest of the F.I.S. are either dead or merged with your forces, the war is over and I have no reason to kill you.” He smiled slightly as if the thought amused him.
Blast nodded slightly and looked blankly across the room, deep in thought.
“When can we go?” he asked seriously.
“As soon as you are ready. If you are willing to risk it.”
Blast bit his lip and thought hard. “Yes. There is no point in us staying here. The longer we stay, the more confusing things will get for us. This time paradox-space thingy really gets on my nerves.”
“Ha! You think it gets on your nerves! I’m 105 years old and I’ve studied the mysteries of time travel for most of my life and I still don’t know the answer!” Bisvernicof laughed as Blast’s mouth fell open.
“Ha ha! Yes. And that’s still pretty young. We OvaSeers live to about 300 or so…” he smiled to himself.
“Anyway. So you are ready to leave?”
“Almost. But there’s one person missing. Therefore there is one thing that we must do before we leave…”
The Republic Prison: Coruscant…
Iadsgb lay on the cold metal bench that the guards called a bed in his cell. His wounds had been healed as best they could and he now lay staring blankly up at the ceiling as the light from the world outside shone in through the tiny rectangular window. He was one of the lucky prisoners; he actually had a view. Most of the others deeper within the prison were stuck with only a lamp. His view was actually quite good, being on the top floor.
He was in one of the most secure cells in the whole building; Electrified shields on the window and door, and all sorts of other protections to stop him escaping. He could hear the space traffic whizzing past as per normal outside but gradually a louder noise joined it. It grew louder and louder until he actually sat up and frowned at the window, looking outside to the tiny area he could see.
Suddenly the window wall exploded inwards, throwing bricks and durasteel into the room. Iadsgb rolled to his left and fell from the bed with a thud and a groan, before hiding underneath it for protection from the flying debris.
The outside noises got louder and suddenly there was a nearby hissing sound closely followed by two small thuds.
“Iadsgb.” A familiar voice greeted. He pulled himself forwards slightly on his arms and peered out from under the bed.
“We’re leaving. Coming?” R.K. Blast said, standing next to the huge hole, a jetpack on his back, with his helmet in one hand and a spare jetpack in the other. Fixer stood behind him also wearing a jetpack.
Iadsgb smiled and pulled himself out from under the bed. He stood up, in pain from his wounds but grinning,
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Blast smiled and threw the spare jetpack to him. He caught it and swung it onto his back as Blast put his helmet on and jetted from the room, out of the hole, followed by Fixer.
Iadsgb picked up his crutches that had fallen to the floor in the explosion and with their aid, walked slowly to the gaping hole and looked out.
U.F.I.R.S. fighters zoomed about everywhere attacking the republic guard ships that were trying to apprehend them and a short distance away, The Manipulator hovered low above the city.
He laughed a single happy laugh then activated his jetpack and flew from the cell, out after Blast, towards The Manipulator and home.
