Castle Attack
I decided to do a bunch of microscale castle builds. Here's the first one...
About this creation

In this build I wanted to experiment with an explosion technique I kept seeing. My version isn't the best, but it looks good, in my opinion.

A rather artistic shot (no pun intended).

Those golden guys are supposed to be soldiers, in case you couldn't tell.

An artistic shot of the water, This was my first time using studs to create the water effect. I think it came out nicely.

Despite its plainish look, I really like the look of this part of the build.

Now to those waiting for chapter three of Spark of the Rain, school started and I've gotten a lot busier. Sometime I will find the time to build and write for it.

Quoting Halhi 141 Pretty good. In this scale detail is really important, I think the castle would look best made from mostly masonry bricks, rather than so many normal bricks. I also don't like the water, it's a really overused technique, I think that this technique: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60761 would look better. I'd also recommend editing the photos a bit. I typically use http://pixlr.com/editor and use the curves tool to set the white balance (click on the white picker and then click on the background, it should adjust the lighting and colors nicely) Overall it looks very nice though.
Thanks! I actually have seen that techniue before. I do agree with you that it is an overused technique, but i still wanted to use it for this one.
