Barrek
A daring Glatorian explorer who ventures inside the Great Spirit Robot to find treasure.
About this creation

Barrek was a young Glatorian, being one of the first born after the Destiny War. He grew up on the reformed Spherus Magna, exploring the planet with a strong sense of bravery and recklessness. He often took risks for no reason other than to experience the rush that adrenaline brings.
He is courageous, daring, reckless, and often foolhardy. His impulsive nature often makes it difficult for him to stick still, and he can't help but to accept challenges that he's offered. As an explorer, Barrek is quite smart on his feet, physically fit, and is quite savvy when it comes to exploring caves and other such things.

This MOC was made on August 11th at Grayson's house. (Our families go on vacation in the same place, so we hang out and build and whatnot.)
Keep in mind that this MOC was only made with a relatively small selection of parts: the only parts Grayson had with him were whatever he had after Brickfair.

I currently have a bit of a Bionicle building block. Hopefully I can scrape up an entry for Sam's contest. I may just stick to System MOCing for a week or two, though.

Backstory written by Auron / Varren Rehn and edited by me. Thanks dude.

You make very solid bodies. I've noticed that with both you and Smooth Jazz. Even with limited pieces, you still make a great creation. (That has about seven more cams than I do!) He would make a great playable figure Well done.

Quoting Petersheikah [ITA] Good creation! I like his torso made with a black hand and these bulky legs too. The introducing image with the background is really cool, i like how you edited it.

Quoting legoguy 1160 Very cool, especially with limited parts. I would of enjoyed more of a backstory though.
Sorry. Sometimes I build a MOC that has minimal storyline value.

Awesome MOC! Using that claw piece for the chest armor is my favorite feature :D

Wow. This is great! It looks much more compact and flows together much better than most Bionicle MOCs do.

Quoting MCLegoboy ! It looks great. I like the very simple colors. A total of two prominent colors and even then, most of it is just one. I really like it. I wonder what it would have looked like with bluish gray? I really like the old gray look next to black, it just really works. Oh, and great song.
Thanks MC. Dark grey with black does look good, but it's not very unique, and while that's not always a necessity, I prefer to build with more variety... plus, if you have dark tan available, how can you not use it? :P

The MOC is vary odd. The body look great but i don't like the armor, the arm is easy and it good like that but the upper arm don't look right with the MOC. the lower leg is great but i don't like the upper leg.

Quoting Ro Garcia Sleek Chro. Although I always imagine them having broader shoulders and always carrying weapons. Then again, this was built from someone else's stash. Hope to see you build more Glatorians!
Many of my MOCs are built and then later receive a backstory or name, not the other way around. So, theoretically, any generic Toa-esque MOC I make could be a Glatorian. (The backstory blurb for Barrek was written on a whim while posting, not thought up beforehand.)

Quoting Voxumo The Shadow of Reality Really clever use of the Tan-ish pieces. Also the fact you used the hero factory claw/hand piece for something other than a hand is really clever in of itself. So really good
Thanks Vox!
Quoting Takis LST Give it a cape and it can be Darth Vader! Lol.
And a red lightsaber... and a massive rebreather thing... and a substantial amount of hatred and overall Sithiness...

I don't have any IRL BioMOCist friends. I know Grayson via the internet and we just meet in person by going on coincidental vacations.

Quoting Millsy _ It be nice. The Dark tan (?) color really looks nice with the black. The Ben 10 hand, in my opinion though, looks too "sticky outy." Though, that is kinda nitpicking (unless this is a Fe-MOC, which would be misleading as heck). Anyways, excellent work. Much Poké-Respect to you, chap!
I guess it does stick out a little bit. But it's just armor... if this was intended to be a female character, the hand would just be weird, not actually resembling any normal anatomy.

Quoting Lego Obsessionist Limitation or no, this is a really solid MOC! Very cool armoring, particularly the torso. Do you have a red ball joint with you? It might look awesome as a heartlight. Love the little accents.
There were some red ones available, but I decided to stick with the two-color scheme. It is too bad that the Glatorian head doesn't come in trans-red, though...

Quoting Barrekk, King of Gravity Sorry but that's sort of my name. I had it as my name for this account a solid year before this moc.
I apologize for being unaware of your existence. From what I can see, I commented on one of your MOCs in August of 2012- at which point your name was "Korstan Toa of Heat", or something to that effect- and haven't had any contact with you since. There are so many people on MOCpages that I'm bound to screw up a name eventually.

Cool build, love the use of tan with black, works great. Kinda odd that the torso seems to be quite sleek and covered well with the armour and then the legs seem to be all out and no panels or coverings so an odd transition there.

Really interesting. I really like how the upper part looks from the front. For having a 'BIONICLE MOC, it has a nice part usage, dear =P Particulary, that Ben10 claw on the chest. Also, cool color scheme (though most of the sand brown is barely visible from the front) However, I find the back and the legs too 'overworked', or 'greebled', in comparation with the rest of him. And that contrast doesn't convice me... Good work anyways, I have to say. Hope you and Steve have fun! =3
