Morris Minor Traveller
Morris Minor Traveller, designed in LDD. Features opening doors and bonnet. Silver and brown parts are painted.
About this creation
This Morris Minor Traveller was in fact the first one, of these British classics, that I have build. It was presented for the first time on Brickshelf 29-4-2012. But now it has been rebuild to feature an opening bonnet and a tiny engine.

3 The tailgate is quite complexe, so I havent come up with any satisfactory solutions, to make it openable.

6 A Minor engine, unfortunately, there wasn´t room for valvecover.

Quoting Simon Clausen Really great model, I actually have the car in my garage. Would you be willing to share your blueprint? :) My son has tons of lego, it would be nice to build it with him. Thanks
Thanks for the kind comment. It must be wonderful to own a Classic car like this. I am sorry to disappoint you, I only share building instructions for the official Creator sets. But it is actually possible to recreate the model based on the pictures alone. Images in higher resolution can be found here https://www.flickr.com/photos/127999654@N08/sets/72157647812585751/

Absolutely love the transition of front mudguards to the door, the little white slope.

Quoting Scott Bertaut The current hood design on my Nifty Fifty requires me too take the hood off, position it, and then place it back on in the raised position. With your design it would actually lift on hinges. I'm too low on parts right not, but I'll make sure to give you credit when I change it.
You will probably discover, that it can be quite tricky to find the right fixpoint for the small armlink inside the engineroom, but that is just a challenge.

Quoting Scott Bertaut I am completely unfamiliar with this car so cannot comment on the MOCs accuracy. However it is stunning to say the least. A lot of complexity went into getting the shape right, and it looks great. I may have to borrow your hood design for my Nifty Fifty, if I reverse it I think it will be much better then my current one. Epic build!
Thanks for commenting, I just took a look at your Nifty Fifty, and its absolutely brillant, so i don´t see any reason why you should change it. However, if you want to change it, fell free to use my Hood design.

Thank you for all the nice Words, it´s great. @Maxime MaxSamAlex; the Construction of this was quite time consuming. I don´t exactly know how long, but I guess, I have spent the evenings over some 3 weeks period. @Stephen Barnes; You never get too old to be creative with LEGO. That with the beer sounds great.

Awesome! Beautiful car with good color scheme. I like old cars, but made with Lego pieces not too simple.

Good Henrik. You're the same age as me. I can't stop building these things in my spare time. Drives my wife crazy. She found a Lego piece in the washing machine the other day. I'll buy you a beer if you're in England anytime soon.

Yet another lovely addition to your car collection. It has a lot of SNOT design everywhere, it must have taken a long time to design it. Thanks for posting!

Thank you all for your kind feedback! To @Hot Rod; The scalling is carefully calculated, but I guess the close-up Photos can cheat a Little. To @LegoNoitAll; You´re absolutely right, Morris Minor is my British Classic Top-favourite.
