This Sig SG 552 has a very realistic field strip, working bolt, foldable stock, and removable magazine.
After making the AK-47, I've come to like the idea of having my LEGO guns represent the real ones in more than just looks. As with my AK-47, this Sig SG 552 has a very realistic field strip, working bolt, foldable stock, and removable magazine. If you would like instructions, I can send you the LEGO Digital Designer auto-instructions. I must warn you that the program does not have some of the pieces I used in the real deal. Also, assume all colors are black. Please leave comments. I am open to new ideas and current issues with my gun. Good luck to all that attempt to build it!

The "white thing" is actually made of 1 x 1 cylinder bricks stacked on top of each other. I put rods inside to help keep them from busting apart. The spring comes from a recycled spiral-bound notebook. See the last two photos to see what I'm talking about.
I just realized that above part of the gun, the "white thing", is not included in the instructions. Also, the magazine isn't in the file either (I can't make the magazine using LDD). Everything else is, though. Sorry for any inconveniences.
Design Updates (not shown):9/5/2007
I fixed crucial error in the design. The front sight portion was inaccurate. I checked up on some sources and modified the sight assembly that surrounds the front grip to the true design.
9/6/2007
I included a working stock-lock. Now it will lock the stock in place both folded and unfolded.
9/7/2007
I fixed another crucial error in the design. I moved the spring assembly from behind the bolt to the front. It took the good part of the day to get it working smoothly.
10/25/2007
It is now sitting in my dorm room on display (aka collecting dust).

I dismantled it to build a Browning Automatic Rifle. |

You know, Lawrence, I tried finding this gun on the internet, but all I found was the commando carbine variant. Where'd you get your stats for this gun? Thanks. The 552 is the commando carbine variant of the 550 series, so you found the right stuff. I found people call it the 552, 552 Commando, and 552 Commando Carbine; it's all really the same rifle. There is also the 552 SWAT. I used Wikipedia, world.guns.ru, and a bing.com search. |

well,thats very good,and realistic,but thats ecxept for the small red pieces. but,that doesnt matter,its still cool. the field strip is also cool,and the stock also. when i saw him,i think: why doesnt he make it shoot? but,i think thats impossible if you want to make a field strip. cool gun,please,please,just please review my working guns. they arent in one color,but thats gonna chance. thanks,lawrence. |

yo nice a great moc by one of the best i liked your G36 i want to know if i can get the LDD file for this i tryed once makeing a sig it failed but yours looks kool man your weapons and i made copy's of them but they broke because i wanted to change but this is the best man the only one out the on mocpages i like it 5/5 |

You're back! To another year of Lego Weapons building. Sadly, Foxkupo may not return.
As for the SIG Rifle. I believe it is the only one on the net. For some odd reason, it looks a bit too long, otherwise, it is excellent. |

I really like the field-stripabillaty...
But I'm wondering, how did you make the mag to curve? I think I know how you did it, but I'm not sure
