In the folder "car engineering", this is a version for brakes on a lego technic car.
About this creation
As announced in my car steering moc, here are working brakes for a technic car.
This is precisely disc braking, not drum brakes. Here I showed a rear axle of a car. By pushing the pedal forwards ( the black lego piece with 2 holes in it at the front, above the elastic), it will push the T axle, and this will push the twisted piece against the disc, and so will brake. At the end of the twisted piece, I'm using a soft lego piece (have a look at the pictures; you will see) to make the braking progressing. The elastic is there to return the position of the pedal to neutral.
This is my first version, it can only be applicated to the rear wheels of the car and without suspensions. But personally I find this is a good starting point for other brake systems.

Great concept, I really like the fact that it looks realistic from the outside(seeing the actual disks), contrary to other brake designs. Nice use of the rubber pieces, too. Thanks for posting!

That's an awesome concept. I never thought to use those rubber pieces.

Quoting Technic Man Not bad! I think that it will push the disc(and the wheel) to the outsider of the car. 4/5
Thanks again for the comment! Just: I first thought too what you was saying, but no, everything stays in place (I tested it before I posted it). But thank you! ;-)
