Just starting to unpack all my Lego from a few months of storage and found these little Fords. The first is an Escort Mk 1 in Alan Mann colours and the others I supposed to be GT40s. I am still trying to figure out the best place and time of day to take photos in my new house. So I thought I would experiment with these little builds.

Came back to suss out the construction. The front is ingenious, and matches the cars shape perfectly. I love it even more now!
Thanks mate. I really like the reverse lightbrick to make the front of the front wheel arch. The headlight tube idea i have used before in my animal and figure builds (as eyes). The sloping bonnet with the thin black grille is simple but difficult to see/explain. I am sure you can figure it out but let me know if you have any questions.

One question. Are the lights on the Escort purist? It looks like a cut part. I'm not saying it is.
Hi Mitchell - i am not sure really it is a bit of a grey area in my mind, probably not as it is a cut piece, but even Lego Group ask you to cut hoses and pipes in thier instructions so I do not mind cutting it. I would never cut or modify any other type of piece. Thanks :)
Thanks guys really appreciate the comments. @ Henrik and David - The headlights are 3mm rigid hose cut to 1 stud/brick in length. I have used the same technique for eyes for my figures and animals but this is the first time I have used it for headlights. I am glad you like it - A new technique me thinks ;)
