Having great fun catching up on your CS builds tonight! This one has the lot, the full exploration kit. Symmetry is so overrated :)

This ship looks like it can carry out all types of functions due to all its features. The cockpit interior is amazing. I like the way you arranged the spacemen so comfortably in it. Amazing piece. I've built a small patrol craft for the CS theme, I'll get around to posting it after my ebay order on a classic spaceman gets here. In the mean time, Keep On Brickin'!

I really like the detail on this. It reminds me of the real-life International Space Station.

Cool! Yeah, that cockpit design is sweet! It's got a nice utilitarian look to it, like a space pickup. Would have made a great set back in the day!

Ohh, I think Iīm in love with that cocpit design. Too cool! And the asymetric overall shape is sweet, too! True CS goodness. ~Cheers

Quoting Tim C This is just great, David. One of my favorite ships by you yet. What I like about it is the "ugly ship" look that you've pulled off here. I think that's what appeals to me most, as much of a contradiction as that is. I like the overall utilitarian appearance and one thing that always makes a ship look "real" is assymetry, which is something else that you've accomplished masterfully. I also like the misleading size. From the main pic, I wouldn't automatically assume that it seats four in the cockpit. Great work!
I wanted it still a good size for small hands to fly. I'm toying with Shiptember at the moment for my next project - are you giving it a go?

Quoting Michal Hennel 5/5, David :D So much well chosen and well arranged details on such small place. CS overall design is purposely crude and since that it tempts to use simple arrangements of bricks, but luckily it is not your case. I like difference of both parts of this device and their paradox compatibility. Good work :D
I love the idea of 'fake functionality' as a design theme - strangely very close to cute aesthetics.

Quoting Starscream Soundwave Fantastic build, lots of things to poke at and play with. I love it!
Isn't great when you have all those moving parts to fiddle with. Maybe that's part of the charm of Transformers.

Quoting clayton Marchetti Ok this is my new favorite ! You know when you were playing with your galaxy explorer and it crash landed on that planet thousands of lightyears from home! This is the ship you wish comes to your rescue. This is awesome love the interior. Fantastic body design. Help has indeed arrived!
I like your back story, CS rescue team; there's a great vig in there somewhere.

Quoting Loov'i Lukywalker Really nice spaceship. Lego should built new classic-space-themed ships like this one. I like the cockpit, everything is perfect: the windows, the seats and computers positions, shape... Everything, I said!
There is always room for some proper CS sets. Maybe LEGO needs to created a limited edition collectors set, I'd buy it.

Quoting David Roberts This is a wonderful CS creation. I like how smooth the canopies make the fuselage and the reversed ones at the front are a great idea. The twin tandem cockpits are nicely and smoothly styled to. I like the greeblie bits on either side. They look great and must be extremely useful in some way or another. It would have been nice if they detached to play with perhaps.
There was a plan to allow the side to detach, and the little arrow piece remains to show you where. Unfortunately, it created such high stress that it meant the ship couldn't be swooshed. With my kids waiting to play with it, I decided to remodel with a sturdier connection and give them the playable form.

Quoting David the Fire Ninja Jedi I especially like the generator things and claws on the side.It would work as a space classic set! :D

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 neither can I! especially when you refresh the theme in such an innovative and tasty way! I love the canopy technique you used! the interior is great, and the asymmetry brings a new cool style to the genre, I love that you used the original landing baseplate, I feel you re getting better and better at this, I enjoy it a lot! bravo David!
Yep, loving CS at the moment. A couple more builds bubbling under.
