Story:

Ignam was once a Matoran. He lived for some time in Makuta’s work camps, building what was to be his palace. (To quote Ben, “fit for a king” – snazzy huh!) But one day, he and another Matoran tried to escape. Just when they thought they were going to succeed, they were free and nothing could stop them… a grand blue being appeared. Their initial joy at the sight of the toa-like being faded as the tall and commanding blue warrior grabbed Ignam’s companion by the neck, Ignam was forced to watch as the life left his friends eyes. With a silent determination, he turned trembling and weeping to Cossy. “Do not kill me… I will do anything…”

A group of Rahkshi had noticed the commotion and scuttled over to see what was happening, but the Blue Warrior whispered “leave him alone” in a tone barely audible. The Rahkshi, well aware of the Blue Warrior’s power lept back reproachfully, skulking near a large rock that stood nearby. The dark hollows where Ignam presumed eyes must rest began to glow, ever brighter until burning with the intensity of a thousand suns.

The Rahkshi noticed. Skree-ing and Squealing they charged. Cossy, for the Blue Warrior was Cossy, turned to the Rahkshi and boomed “LEAVE HIM ALONE” and released a swathe of blue fire which incinerated the foul beings immediately.

“Come with me” he whispered to Ignam, who up until this point had been edging away from the being that had, just moments ago, slain his friend. However Cossy’s eyes were kind, and the glow of a heartlight illuminated the inside of his black and blue armour. Tentatively, he took Cossy’s hand and in a flash of blue fire and a with sound like a whip, they were away.

Cossy took Ignam far away to the mountains of Le-Koro. There they spent many weeks planning and plotting Makuta’s downfall – for it had become apparent to them both that Cossy was the only being powerful enough to destroy Makuta. In time Cossy departed, leaving Ignam safe in the mountains with a ready supply of ore and a forge that flickered blue.

However this was not the end of Ignam’s story. After forging the Night Spark blade for Rahkshanne, he went on an adventure. He was tired of sitting in his forge, communicating only with the few travellers who could get to the top of the mountain, with dire enough need for his skills. He left the mountains and journeyed into the world, encountering dangerous beasts and savage bounty hunters.

One night, whilst resting in a forest he came across an ancient blade, resting in the bottom of a deep pond, emitting a faint blue light. He took the blade and, recognizing it’s importance, returned to the forge he had departed many months ago. Once there he reforged and reset the weapon – quickly discovering that only Cossy’s blue fire forge was hot enough to have any effect.

After days of toiling and hard work the blade was done – as he raised the sword from the water for the last time, a voice was to be heard behind him. “I see you’ve found my sword, nice work”.

Yet another tall stranger, Ignam was well and truly fed up of tall strangers.
“Alright, what do you want?” he asked exasperatedly.

“My sword” replied the stranger.
“And how do I know it is yo-“ but he was cut off by a “shink-shink” sound followed by a long slither as the stranger unsheathed a dagger from a scabbard at his waist.

“Give. Me. The. Sword”, his whisper quiet and deadly. The stranger bore down on Ignam who quailed under the intense fury of the gaze that rested on his small frame. But as the stranger grew closer, the blade begain to glow blue again, it grew and stretched, it’s light enveloping Ignam.

There was a sharp crack as forceful jet of glowing blue water shot at the stranger, hitting him square in the chest and blasting him off Ignam’s mountain top.

When the light cleared Ignam stood, a tall and proud Toa, he could feel the power surging through his body. In one jump he cleared the distance between himself and the stranger, who lay groaning on a ledge some 300 feet away.

The blade in his hand he pressed it against the stranger’s throat. “No.” he whispered, dropping the blade he picked up the stranger’s now crumpled form and literally threw him off the mountain. Taking the sword in hand Ignam jumped after him, fully aware that his homecoming had been temporary, his adventure has only just begun.

Fortrux: Man that mask is really ugly.

Fortrux: I mean look at me, I can change my face to look like you, and I feel so insecure right now.

Ignam: ...

Ignam: hmm.

Ignam: Don't mess son, I'm beautiful.
Fortrux:...eugghhhogghhh

Both: Bye! :)

FOURTH WALL:
So what do you think? :) Ben and I built the very first Ignam, when he was Toa of Fire and Water years ago, and he was okay then, but I was delighted to see him come back as a Matoran and thought he deserved to be a Toa in his own right. I'm really happy with the build - whilst tentative about the HF pieces on his wrists to start with, I know think they look quite good - they're meant to be sort of like the gloves that a blacksmith would wear whilst forging. Anyway I hope you enjoyed, please leave any criticisms or questions in the comments :)

Quoting [ Chro ] The execution is how you complete an idea. Basically, the concept is one thing, but building the MOC itself is another.
Gotcha, maybe he'll be better executed next time :)

Quoting Coconut Fanatic "Don't mess son, I'm beautiful." XD He's just the beautiful-est because he beautiful's the hardest. [...] The overall construction is pretty good, he seems solid and stable. Excellent work Fortux, excellent work.
Thanks a bunch mate! :D

"Don't mess son, I'm beautiful." XD He's just the beautiful-est because he beautiful's the hardest. <- Quote from my brother I like to use. There are places I wish he was more symmetrical, like his ankles. But I like the difference in his forearms(forearms in general really). The overall construction is pretty good, he seems solid and stable. Excellent work Fortux, excellent work.

Quoting Toa Phosphorus Has a really cool idea behind him. The execution could be better but none the less very nice.
Thanks :) When you say "execution" though, what exactly do you mean?

Quoting Ben Cossy Cool to see you come up with a sick storyline of Ignam, not sure if I'll have him turn into a Toa in mine, but this gives me ideas :D Love how you've made him look :D Love how the legs flow with the rest, looks great and the odd socks are a nice touch :P I'm not the biggest fan of the sword, but the rest of the figure forgives that :P Nice ;)
The sword was dismantled and rebuilt before I put this up, but I forgot that I hadn't taken a photo of it - I'll do that :P but Thanks! :)

Okay. Good to know. I'm impressed with your builds. Did you deliberately abandon green/white Fortrux, or did you lose him/the parts for him?

Well, I forgot the password, and the e-mail that it's connected to is no longer active so I can't change it either. Instead of relying on all the old favourites to see my stuff, I decided to start again! :)

Okay. I ask mainly because I too am in Australia (though on the others side of it). What happened to your old account, just out of interest?

Quoting Reaper the Ultimate . This is a very nice build. I like the overall shaping and proportionality. Clever use of mata feet for the inner forearms, I've never seen that done. I have to ask, since you seem to know Cossy quite well, do you live in Australia?
Thanks man! :D Yeah I do know him, I used to live just down the road! haha but now I've moved up here to America :)
