Concept Sportive
A modern old skool coupé concept with a great engine and is also a bit eco friendly with hydrogen technology.
About this creation
Concept Sportive, a concept car/prototype that is road legal. It is not a surrealistic concept car like the Peugeot Onyx or the Renault Dezir.

Concept Sportive is a mix of old and new modern style. It has a very long nose (hood) like a Jaguar E-type or the Corvette C3. The side shape is a classic coupé shape but with a bit muscle/sporty details like at the rear fender where the body becomes a bit wider and at the side window a upwards line. The cooling fends behind the front fender for cooling is not only functional but also it gives the body a sporty touch. The car is long, wide and low which makes it look very fast (sporty and muscular).
The Concept Spottive is inspired by the Jaguar E-type, Corvette C3, Morgan aero supersports, Ferrari 599 GTB, Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Brooklands, Bentley Mulsanne and Maserati GranTurismo. The Concept Sportive was furstly drawn, 3D views and 2D views including interior, on paper. Then the car was digital build using Lego Digital Designer (LDD). The first, not jet improved version of this digital version can be seen at an earlier posting here (Concept Sportive Digital).
The car contains over a 1000 pieces.

This first version of the Concept Sportive has a twinturbo V16 engine which runs on petrol or hydrogen (more eco friendly). The car produces a lot of horsepower and Torque, so it will go very fast from the startline. A future second version will be a hybrid with both a petrol engine as two electric engines at the front and could be run at a range of about 40 km fully electric. The batteries will then be under the floor and in the middle console to save the boot space and have all the weight in the middle to make the handling like this first version with a 50/50 weight ratio.

Below are the pictures and some more detailed information of the car.

Firstly the front of the car:

As you can see the front of the car is low and has a bit of Gallardo in it. The big sloped air intakes are there to cool the engine and gives it a modern and sporty look. Also the wide fenders give the car a muscular feel, a bit like old muscle cars and TVR's.

With the sideview you can see that the car is pretty long and has a very long nose. It is a bit like the Jaguar E-type and Corvette C3. The engine is behind the frotn axle at which a long nose was needed. The lines of the car are classic but also muscular and sporty.

The rear of the car is more modern, the diffuser has been inspired by the Ferrari 599 GTB and is made of Carbonfiber. The 4 exhaust make other drivers aware of the power of this car when you past them. The four big rear lights are inspired by the Nissan GTR and are LED. The rear spoiler has a second function, namely as third brake light. The 2 lights at the rear bumper are the rear fog lights. The light grey stripe is a chrome trim that will go further to the side of the car.

The trunk can be opened.

The doors can be opened and behold the black/beige interior. It has all the today's gadget's but is minimalistic and mostly is done by the computer controlled with the little round control mouse next to the right seat. The Air vents of the airco are classic round and has a sportive feel.

The hood of the car can open and behold the amazing engine!
The engine is a V16 engine which can both run on hydrogen as on normal petrol.

Now some pictures with all the doors, trunk and hood opened.

Underneath are some more pictures of the car, now taken outside.

I hope you enjoyed looking and reading about Concept Sportive.

Quoting Senator Chinchilla . Very cool, and nicely thought out.
Thanks :), I wanted to first saw what the idea looked on paper and than convert that with LDD to a lego model before making it for real.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Very cool. Loving the shape and especially the engine. It is only my humble opinion but I am not so keen on the main photo - it does not do it justice. You have much nicer pictures in the main page.
Thanks for the tip ;). The main picture has been modified.
