Moon Base DELTA
After witnessing Paul/Disco86's amazing rendition of the RESEARCH RL14 station...I was compelled to do one myself. I only hope it measures up favourably.
About this creation

Truly, function preceeds form in this facility, where the roof structure and every available square inch of space is fully utilized to mount ancilliary devices, comms antennae, power conduits and other essentials.

Notice the preponderance of solar panels on the roof surface - this ensures that the facility is adequately powered and self-sustaining even in the event of a Plasma Coil reactor failure.

Situated above both habitat bubbles are distinct Plasma Coil Reactors, each capable of churning out more than sufficient power to operate life-support systems as well as generate a much-appreciated sphere of class 5 shielding.

This energy shield helps reassure Moon Base staff that they are in good hands even though they are not on some massive starship with more than redundant life-support systems. Besides, such energy shielding protects against the unexpected structural breaches from micro-asteroids.

Here we witness the addition of the launch pad module, connected to the main base module via the tubular link way.

Moon Base Delta welcomes its first extra-terrestrial visitor in the form of the Vlagon Ambassador. Half the Moon Base Staff have assembled out on the landing pad to welcome his arrival.

Extensive studies have shown that hot chicks in spacesuits increase morale of (male) astronauts who are posted far out in the solitary confines of space. These Space chicks are designated pink in their uniforms...hmmmm

They say too much of a good thing becomes bad...the Moon Colonial Authority realized that too many female astronauts working the greenhouse shift resulted in lower work efficiency for the male counterparts...resulting in the expensive deployment of droids to do the work of the men. In a twist of sick humour, some bespectacled nerd-techie at Fleet Command Robotics Division designed droids to look ultra retro. But make no mistake, wrapped up somewhere in that hilarious shell of tritanium tungsten armour is a Mk 5 combat droid...with just one firmware upgrade away from being a killing machine.
