Just down the street from Lockridge Estates on the south side of what will soon be the Godwin's Hollow Consolidated School System is now St. Thomas Church. Named by it's parishioners after the patron saint of builders (of course) the church is the spiritual heart of the city. Feel free to stop by, and as the marquee says, help build a better community.
About this creation

Looking down on church's roof and steeple. Looks like there may be a light on near the main door to the sanctuary as one of the stained glass windows looks illuminated.

Close-up of the northeast corner of the church where the marquee sits. Usually displaying the service timings it has also been used to highlight excerpts for the week's spiritual lessons.

The roof and steeple. The historic roof beams have been recycled from many older buildings from all across town - literally uniting the entire city under one roof.

One of the hand crafted stained glass windows adorning the church. There are five of these pictorial windows around the nave and behind the altar is brick-built stained glass window depicting a cross.

Looking straight down the church to the altar. Right in the narthex of the church is the baptismal font.

Top down view of the church from the main door. The congregation is just starting to arrive and fill the pews.

Moving in closer on the altar. The stained glass window behind the altar is clearly visible. The church's clergy and lay persons on each side of the altar are also up front already.

Alternate view of the altar.

Opposite side of the altar. One of the pictorial windows behind the pulpit is also in view.

Moving around the church from the south west corner...

Northwest corner...

Northeast corner... main door and the baptismal font.

Southeast corner...

Back to the pipe organ.

Close-up of the organ. The congregation is currently working on starting a small choir too.

Top down view of the whole building...

St. Thomas on the street. The green field to the north will eventually be the Godwin's Hollow Consolidated School System.

Driving by St. Thomas towards Lockridge Estates...

Looking south from Lockridge Estates towards the church.

Street view of the church.

Aerial view of the entire southeastern corner of the city. Lockridge Estates, St. Thomas, and in the upper left the Container Terminal.

Very cool! Roof is simple in design but color scheem made it great. Bell tower is the best part for me. Interior is nice too. Stained glass is so obviously not Lego that it stand out too much for my taste (althow they are beautiful). You cold use Lego stained glass pieces BL:"Trans-Clear Door 2 x 5 x 5 Swivel, Flat Base with Stained Glass Knight Pattern" For me worked fine here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/266925

This is amazing, I love the amount of detail you have put into this MOC, you have really captured every amount of detail in this church as you would find in the real thing, I love the alter, stained glass windows and everything else you have put into this MOC - 10/10 :)

the church is very neat in all kinds of ways, you impressed me with new techniques of construction, it contrasts with your classic 'old school' ones, if possible, you should get a street sweeper, the dust is visible on the pics, you ll soon have bumbleweeds, lol.
