Miravel, Aenjiliun Guardian of the Nest, Lady of Hunger
Finally! My first MOC in months! She was sitting in my basement all summer, close to completion :P today I put some finishing touches on her and took some pictures! I had so much problems with uploading, It took most of the day to figure out how to get around them. Enjoy!
About this creation
Name: Miravel, Aenjiliun Guardian of the Nest, Lady of Hunger
Bio: Miravel is one of the 3 Aenjiliun Guardians. They protect the Blackened Spires, The Nest, and the Desert of Metal. Miravel was originally the same species as Helios, until she recieved the Cords of Hunger and was assigned to guard the Nest, which is where she resides now.
Powers: Miravel's main power is Hunger. When she reaches her hand towards her victim, they are filled with hunger, and often collapse. Like others of her species, she has the power to open dimensional gates.
Sorry if it seems lazy, I mostly copied the description from Aea. The guardians do not have much backstory.

The arms are pretty skinny and simple.

I put a lot of work into the legs to make them the proper shape.

More leg shots

Even more leg shots

Just chillin out. I wanted to show that she is mildly pose-able, just like all my other mocs. Never of them turn out super pose-able, but its enough for me, I mostly focus on form,

Im not sure exactly what pose this is, but it looked pretty cool.

Taking a knee...

The Claws of Hunger, reaching toward you.

Some full body pictures

The torso is meant to seem hollow, going with the theme of hunger.

Reaching towards you again...

The hands are simple but effective, I am pretty happy with how they turned out.

Reaching to the side, I really like this pose for some reason.

Back view, has more system pieces.

Side view

The color combination turned out well, Lime, Sand Green, and Red accents work together to give an insect-like feel

Floating through the interdimensional realm.

It's very lonely in there, and rare that you would meet somebody else.

Another semi-pose :D

5.. 4... 3.. 1.. Offblast!

She waves goodbye! OH NO! actually its the Claws of Hunger!

Goodbye!

I hope to post MOCs a little more regularly

Quoting Johann Dakitsch Very nice. Very good shaping and design. Those hands are pretty interesting, and the red tubing on the back works quite well for me. I do have a few nitpicks, though, and most relate to texture: That technic thing on the arms and some of the system stuff on the torso doesn't quite flow that well, specially when it gets close to the back. The ankle being thin is ok, but here its a bit too much, almost cartoony, with those big feet. But still, other than those, great one.
Thanks for commenting! I see what you mean about the texturing on her back, It doesnt quite flow as well as the rest of the MOC. And the big feet are for stability so she can stand up on her own :D

Quoting Clever Crowe I have got to say, Sam - (especially thinking back on your last three works) you have really re-invented your Style, man. =) It's not 'better'- because your older approach was good, too - it's simply a new gear for you, to drive on the same highway. Make sense? THIS particular MOC really appeals to me, structure-wise. FeMOCs are a weakness of mine, as are muscleMOCs; and this has a nice balance struck between the two - very feminine figure, lean-of-limb and GREAT color commitment. Before I knew more Bio-mythos, I never really associated that Breez mask with FeMOC, but now it's indelibly imprinted. I honestly don't like the fixed claws used for the hands, but for a weird reason - you've shown all over her that you can do great shaping AND articulation (!) but the LEGOdex in m'brain knows those claws are a fixed-position casting; and I wanted to see you do something articulated. It's a minor nitpick, and I TOTALLY respect that you prolly selected them due to colorscheme and size/shape preference for her hand proportions. Still Epic figuring. My fave? - theLEGStheLEGStheLEGS. I LOVE that tapered blading down to pirouette-point feet! Angelic and elegant! She has been Epic-Folder'd. ;)
Thanks so much man! I really appreciate your comment! I tried a few different head/mask options, and the Breez one really seemed to fit with the shape of the MOC.The legs are my favorite too :D

Quoting Chris Yee Great work there. You've captured the female form quite well here, and not overly disproportionate either. One thing I may have done was give the head a different colour to the mask to help pull focus to the face. Otherwise awesome work! ^_^
Thanks, that is a good idea, also why I put the red Cords on her shoulders. I spent a lot of time getting the form right!

Quoting Makuta Nazo . LOVE THE MOC! Also, nice back story. I do have a question though... how would her power fair against a creature that doesn't need to eat? Since they can't feel the sensation of hunger, what would happen?
Thanks! I like the way you found a hole in my story hahaha. Her kind of hunger is hunger of the soul itself, it is not actually related to eating. And I did not just make that up on the the spot ;) hehe

Quoting Stormjay Rider Wow! Nice work there. Although, since you have the Inika heads, I'd personally like to see more white to match it.
Thanks for commenting! Although I think that adding more white would take away from the focus on form. It is mostly mono-colored so you do not get distracted by colors. However, I do see your point :)
