HOV Alvin
About this creation

*wall removed to show interior detail

Deep Submergence Vehicle Alvin is undoubtedly one of the most famous research vessels in the history of oceanography. Launched in 1964 and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Alvin has explored the depths for almost 50 years. In that time, the vessel has visited the wrecks of the RMS Titanic and USS Scorpion, has discovered valuable information about our planet's oceans, and has even been attacked by a swordfish! Now you can build this historic research submersible and do a little undersea exploration of your own!

Hi, I was wondering if there is a place other than this site for directions on how to make a HOV Alvin Submersible out of legos because when I download it, the downloader thing says that I don't have the right applications to open it. Thanks!

I have a good friend who is an Oceanographer and Alvin pilot. I would very much like to have one of these made for her. Could you do that?

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 while I m not familiar with Alvin, it looks good as a sub, I loved looking at mr Cousteau s documentaries though, underwater life fascinates me still, and you did a great job on this whole scene, I wish you the best of succeses! bravo!
Thank you very much! If you like Cousteau, you should check out the UCS series of ships on CUUSOO, there's a great model of his ship Calypso included!
