Here's a little single seater sports car. I do not readily claim that my builds are marketable as real Lego sets, but being both robustly strong and coming in at around 125 bricks, this is the closest I think I've ever been.
About this creation
A profile shot. There's not a lot of clearance under those arches but there's enough.

The rear of the car. A simple modern curvy approach using the roof/bonnet piece that's cropping up more often these days, but this time, at the back end.

A shot of the interior showing how the windscreen/wheel are attached allowing easier access for a Friends minidoll.

Some easily created alternate fronts.

I'm very pleased with the look of this car. My only regret is not being able to build a two-seater version.

Quoting Gerfy Legorider you might off-set a two-by-five stud wide area on top of a two by six area using jump plates.
Thanks for the comment, I've done something like that before. (check my 60007 4x4). With Friends minidolls though, you can sit two in four studs so that wasn't the real issue, it was getting the steering wheel to fit with the windscreen.

Great looking car! If you are serious about converting this into a two-seater, I think you might off-set a two-by-five stud wide area on top of a two by six area using jump plates. Your seating arrangement will have a one-stud gap. You might also be able to put functional car doors.

Excellent work! :D I wouldn't care that you weren't able to fit both seats, a 2 seater on a 6 wide? That's extremely difficult to do without sacrificing a ton of the looks...
