Some ground vehicles for the US Military of 2017. LDD file is for M270. Please rate and comment
About this creation
M90 "Strongman" Specs:
Top Speed: 51 MPH
Weight: 23 Tons
Armor: Composite of Carbon Steel, Kevlar, ceramic, Alumio-tetraborite, and optional RPG cage
Primary Armament: Heavy Duty Recovery Crane with 75 ton lifting capacity
Secondary Armament: Optional M2 .50 cal CROWS (not Shown)
Power Plant: MR3x Diesel Engine
Crew: 2

Designed as the replacement to the classic M88, the M90 can lift even the M1A3 with ease.

Despite its vulnerable appearance, it is an incredibly durable vehicle, often taking tank rounds and still driving home.

The RPG cage is often not used but some crews like the peace of mind it offers.

In action, the rear of the M90 contains 70% of its weight. An onboard computer moves the counter weight to compensate for even the heaviest loads (unofficial record of 86 tons).

M45 Specs:
Top Speed: 81 MPH
Weight: 6.5 Tons
Armor: Composite of Carbon Steel, Kevlar, and Ceramic
Primary Armament: Optional M2 .50 cal CROWS (Not shown)
Secondary Armament: none
Power Plant: A28r Diesel Engine
Crew: 1, 10 passengers

The M50 is the primary mid weight transport vehicle of the US Army of 2017. Fast and heavy hauling, over 27,000 have been ordered.

The front is heavily armored. Many convoys use this to plow through road blocks and small vehicles.

Carrying 10 fully armed troops, or up to 5 tons of cargo, the M45 is a favorite of logistical officers.

The canvas is in fact kevlar, granting the cargo or troops inside some degree of protection.

M789 Long Sword Specs:
Top Speed: 42 MPH
Weight: 73 Tons
Armor: Composite of Carbon Steel, Kevlar, ceramic, and Titanium-tetraborite
Primary Armament: 200mm rail-assist rifled cannon
Secondary Armament: Optional M2 .50 cal CROWS (Not shown)
Power Plant: 2x Mr23 Diesel Engine
Crew: 4

The massive M789 can deliver a 5 round Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) at 90 miles, devastating anything it hits.

Its low speed is not a factor when to enemy weapons can reach you. Furthermore, its armor is nearly as indestructible as the Abrams.

A five round clip is used to feed the cannon, eating through in 3 seconds flat. If using the MRSI 6 seconds.

Capable of hitting a single car in a traffic jam, collateral damage is nonexistent with this beast.

M270 MRLS Specs:
Top Speed: 53 MPH
Weight: 38 Tons
Armor: Composite of Carbon Steel, Kevlar, ceramic, and Alumino-tetraborite
Primary Armament: 12x Missile Tubes capable of firing a variety of munitions
Secondary Armament: Optional M2 .50 cal CROWS (Not shown)
Power Plant: 2x Mr23 Diesel Engine
Crew: 2

One of the only real vehicles in this pack, a classic way to wipe things of the map.

Working with the M789 to provide fire support, no target is safe.

Its heavy armor allows for high survivability. Due to this some crew use it as a make-shift tank. By keeping the launcher horizontal, and loading high explosive warheads, crews have engaged T-72s and Type 100s to great effect at ranges as close as 100 yards.

The launcher can fire at virtually any position allowing for fire from concealed positions.

An upgraded targeting package allows for fighting in even the worst conditions at ranges rumored to exceed 100 miles, though exact distances are classified.

M1126a2 Stryker Specs:
Top Speed: 65 MPH
Weight: 14 Tons
Armor: Composite of Carbon Steel, Kevlar, ceramic, and Alumino-tetraborite
Primary Armament: M2 .50 cal CROWS (shown here) or M68 105mm cannon or 2x quad stinger missile pods
Secondary Armament: additional M2 .50 cal CROWS (Not shown)
Power Plant: C7 Diesel Engine
Crew: 1-2, 6 passengers

Often working with Bradleys, Strykers crews enjoy the versatility of their platform, often pushing the limits of their load out.

Infantry troops often prefer Strykers to Bradleys due to the Stryker's often superior fire power and speed.

The armor on the Stryker is average and can be defeated easily by most MBTs, however, M1a3 Abrams often clear any and all tanks before the APCs roll in.

TALON2 Specs:
Top Speed: 23 MPH
Weight: 250 lbs
Armor: Carbon Steel, Kevlar and aluminum
Primary Armament: M240b (shown here) or M16 or M107 or M32 MGL
Secondary Armament: smoke grenades (Not shown)
Power Plant: 12x lithium ion batteries
Crew: 1 remote operator

Used primarily in EOD or scouting roles, TALON2s are favorites among troops in high risk areas. Building on the success of the original TALON platform in Iraq and Afghanistan, designers added more power and armor to improve survivability. Around 1,200 have been delivered thus far. (Fun fact, I got to use a similar EOD robot a couple weeks ago, it was very fun)

LDD file is form the M270.

Quoting jack kenyon Two things. I a called jack K too, coincidence? Second, great set of builds. My only concern is the way the gun on the artillery vehicle connects. It is noticeably flimsy and overly complicated, just give it a gun mantel. Other than that, these are fantastic, especially with LDD. I have a question for you jack, I am in a group called Divide and Conquer II. It is a war gaming group set 700 years in the future, on a colony world that got stranded. Basically, you get a nation, and you build the military to fight other players. Technology is strictly limited. No space combat, no incineration weapons, ect, but still futuristic. You seem likea great builder, who enjoys modern/futuristic military. Would you check us out? We are looking for more members.
The gun on the artillery piece would be pretty secure. The same connection is used in my Abrams which I tested with a barrel of the same length and it held up. I would like to join the Divide and Conquer II group. Thank you.
