MEMA R3: Finn Tegotash vs A M
Bracket: Dwarven Category: Rohan
About this creation
This my entry for round 3 of the Middle Earth Mocathalon. My opponent is A M, and our category is Rohan:

Build Theoden's city. You can build when he is under Wormtongue's influence, or when he is a stong, brave king.

I built the Stables of Edoras. I chose not to build a specific scene but a generalized version of the location. Here is a reference shot of the stables from the movies. Please note that I did not build the whole stables but only the entryway area.

Here is my horse. I would appreciate feedback on the design.

Thanks for viewing!

Quoting Halhi 141 This was a very close one, but my vote goes to A M. I think that it might be more successful if you fleshed the scene out a bit more, rather than just having one or two (albeit ingenious) technique filled bits.
That would probably have been a good idea!

Quoting Petric G. Very good MOC! I like your horse, even when I think it should have smoother edges from the back to the sides. Do you know what I mean?
Not exactly.

Quoting Jacob Shisler Cool! You really have to think outside the box for your creations. very technique filled, and like the horse!
Thanks!

Quoting Mark McPeek Wow! Totally Amazing! I really like the straw, the horse statues over the entrance, and the actual Horse! He (or she) looks superb! The legs are a little bit stretched looking, but otherwise, nothing to complain about! 10/5 Stars! :D
Thank you!

Quoting A M Brilliant work! I really love the straw/hay technique and the statues look great. As for the horse--epic! The use of bones was great, but they do look a teeny bit on the spindly side. But I shouldn't be talking, I've never even attempted a brickbuilt horse. Nice one!
I am really glad to hear something about the straw! Thanks for the kind thoughts you expressed about the rest of the model and the constructive criticism you gave on the horse.

Quoting Pineapple Samurai Studios I really like the horse design but I feel like the legs could do with more bulk.
You might be right. I couldn't find any good parts for that in white though.
