Raid on the Darkwood Lighthouse
My first ever medieval style MOC, a lighthouse with working light and rotary system. Recently this model won BrickQueen`s Round Table.
About this creation
To see this thing working, skip to about 1:17

This whole MOC started when i heard about the rounding wall technique. I am new to MOCpages so i`m still being introduced to this kind of stuff. Anyway i was thinking of what kind of MOC i could make using this technique, and eventually i ended up with like a lighthouse/outpost tower hybrid sort of thing, i then figured out what landscape to make and i built the thing.

This was originally intended to be a more modern MOC, as you can tell from the piston engine inside to drive the light box. I guess the further I built up the older the MOC got, it started in the early 1900`s and eventually ended up in the medieval period.

I struggle with righting plot lines for my models, so i won`t say anything directly, but i think you can get a good idea of whats going on.

Hope you guys liked this MOC, i plan to make a whole village type layout like this in a 3x3 baseplate area, each segment on one of these baseplates. Next o hope to make a windmill type thing, then some houses, etc. If you have any ideas, please leave a comment and let me know what you think of this.

That`s all from me today, thanks for looking.

wow, this is really very nice! the buildings look great! some advice - don't take individual pics of the minifigures, just try to get good ones of them in the scene, that should be enough. apart from that, really well done!

Quoting LWC guy Very very good job! This is a huge improvement. You've been on here for what, a month?! And you're already into curved walls, angled staircases and really nice rocks. Great job!
Thanks, to be honest I got a lot of inspiration from you, especially in the landscaping. I would like to know how to make better trees though, so far I can only do the standard trees you see in sets.

Quoting David . Cool moc! It's a bit messy here or there, but it should be, for a tower this old. :)
Thanks, it was intended to look a bit messy, because the tower was put together poorly and not very well run. (not in real life obviously XD)
