Kogalem Nui
My entry to the EBC 2013 Round Two
About this creation
Species: Kogalem (Asa bestia)
Area of Origin: Merama Swamps, Corius
Average life-span: 300-400 years
*No Great Being modification*

History:
Three years ago, only a few months after the Final Battle, Spherus Magna came in contact with an alien species from a neighboring system; the Sidron. After several meetings and interactions, a trade commerce sprung up. Ships began to travel back and forth from Spherus Magna to Corius, leaving and taking products of merchandise. It was when one of these trader ships, piloted by a lone, scruffy Sidron, off-loaded it's wares, that three overlooked stowaways slunk off.As you may expect, these stowaways were three Kogalem, two female and one male.

It was soon discovered by the populace of Aldlace, that these creatures were to be feared. Once being able to go and do as they please, the feral Aldlaces grew reclusive and fearful. Their natural, and only defense, was to spray Arsenic laced fluids. The Asa bestia is completely immune to arsenic's hazardous effects, and in fact thrives on it.

Aldlace population has decreased by sixty-seven percent since, and the Kogalem have grown to over 290,000.

It's a good, medium sized Rahi, and would make a plenty fair fight with a Toa. Except, the unfortunate thing for MIM is...

...The Kogalem originates from Corius, the home world of the Sidron. I realize that I only got two pictures of it like this, but I'm fairly sure that they are sufficient. The rear legs have a very similar function to the Aldlace's, arsenic spraying nozzles. Once it raises it's legs up in the mounted position, those nozzles can be aimed and fired with precision in any direction. The tail acts as a third leg.

And that's how it ends. Of course, MIM will be back again for the next post's punishment. And again, and again, and again...

Chasing it's primary prey, the Aldlace.

Chibiris: Don't worry about the Aldlace, he'll be fine. Comment and Critique is appreciated!

Chibiris: See?

Creator's Comments

That mouth made out of an Exo-Force robot helped get this thin off the ground. I was struggling with only the front legs(which in the beginning were going to be the back) and a hip portion(which turned into the torso). That head was like a coconut gift basket fom heaven.

Anyway, once I put those legs on the front and the head in it's current position, everything went together in a half an hour at least, an hour and twenty minutes at most. The Mask of Life found it's way in there on his back. The Aldlace didn't influence that, it just happened. As for the tail... it's really kind of haphazardly stuck on there. I tried to make it look good but I needed that function to work properly so it could stick those back legs up. As always, Comment and Critique is appreciated(and wanted!).

First of all, "to quote Gale..." I've infected you.... MWUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Ok, I'm good. Secondly, great MOC here. I love that mouth. It's beautiful. Great use of that claw piece too. Well done.

Ahh! Another rahi with a transform function! Might give mine a run for his money. The cannons on the back look awesome, even without the added functionality, and the trans-red inside the mouth really fits well too. He reminds me of the spiderants from Borderlands.

Quoting L.A. Miranda Best head using Ehlek's claw ever. The use of that Exo-Force Devastetor as jaw is just brilliant, I love it so much that, if I were a judge, I would make you win for that! xD The part usage on this creation is as good as the one of the Aldlace, with that Ignika on the back and the Rhotuka things on the fron arms. I would prefer the awesome back leg desing on the front, though, and the Kogalem stand 'droideka style' to shoot from the front legs. But oh well, it's awesome anyways <3 Amazing job, my dear! Good luck in the contest!
To quote Gale, "I know left!?" I am so very proud of this. Thanks for the support L.A.!
