RL14 - Research Lab
About this creation
After the Silicon War it was nearly impossible to live on earth anymore. But the European Defence Alliance (EDA) already started searching for new habitats in the year 2093. Finally they discovered something in the Andromeda System. There was a planet, triple siezed the earth, that's surface was completely covered with rocks and a black liquid. The first chemical analysis revealed, that the black liquid had huge percentage of water in it and that the atmosphere was nearly full of carbondioxide. The EDA started the first settlement in 2099 on the planet, which was now hopefully called "Terranova". But if living on this planet could be possible was not proofed yet. First they experimented with growing trees and plants, these experiments where complicated but promising.

Just simply beautiful, the colour scheme is dynamic with the bright orange and it certainly gives a futuristic appeal, but it's also calming and not 'in your face' which is great. The pods with plants are ace and to see the minifigs in there is a massive bonus. All round a great large build with immense details.

There are so many super details to spot on this big build. I lile things such as the air conditioners on the roofs of the greek houses, the circular landing pad, the neat rock work and the bubbles on the surface of the black liquid. This is topped off with a nice spacecraft and all made in a great colour scheme. I also like how the space station is the same shape as the USS Enterprise when seen from above. Was this deliberate? Brilliant work.

It's very rare to see castle/landscaping and sci-fi building so well-done in the same build. The lab itself is wonderful, with the color scheme, smooth corners mixed with greebles, and the greenhouses, but the rockwork really sets it all off. Brilliant!

Well, this is just wonderful. Love all the detail and the ship has a great look. I love that you went with the research theme instead of anything militaristic. Nice touch. My favorite part is the vegetation. Very well done.
