LaFerrari
Ferrari's latest supercar, LaFerrari. It's been so long since I had time to build and post on MOC pages, so I'm really excited to share this creation. I had been planning on building this car well before it was even introduced in March at the Geneva Auto Show, so when it was finally unveiled I started to plan the build. I started building this car early in June, and it took me about a month and a half to finish. I'll admit, I preferred the styling of the Enzo, however this car has been growing on me a lot since I first saw it. Interestingly, this is one of Ferrari's first in a long while to be styled without the collaboration of Pininfarina. In fact, the car was designed completely in-house. I feel some areas like the front could have been built better, but for a return to building after about a year without posting anything, I am pleased with the overall results. And now, without further ado, some pictures!
About this creation

Looking across the engine:

A closeup of the side to show the complexity of the brick work on the body. The half-plate gap between the engine cover and the lower body was designed intentionally to show the slant of the engine cover:

Everything open:

Engine cover open:

Engine bay with cover removed:

The 6.3L V12 engine. This car is technically a hybrid because it also has an electric motor, battery pack and KERS system, but don't expect Prius MPG's out of LaFerrari. At least it improves over the Enzo's fuel consumption:

Engine removed:

The door removed:

Unlike my Enzo a few years back, I was able to add working hinges for the doors on this car, as seen here. The hinge works by sliding, rotating and tilting the door. Not the most elegant or accurate hinge, but hey, at least it works!

The interior. Just as on the real car, the seats are built into the chassis rather than being adjustable or removable (the steering wheel and pedal box adjust to fit the driver). Note the paddle shifters on the steering wheel:

One final shot:

Thanks for viewing! I plan on doing more building than I have lately, so I hope to be back soon with something new!

Stunning! The best car out of Lego so far! Don't get me wrong, there are many good ones out there, but this Ferrari is flawless! When I saw the side profile, I thought it couldn't be better, but then all the features raised the bar even higher. Congratulations on setting the bar for all Car makers to follow, as this is perfect from all angles

Right, this is a masterpiece as has been said below. My favourite areas are the roof and how it integrates onto the rear/engine cover and sides. The hinge trick to get the studs pointing down is probably the best execution of this technique that I have seen. You have even managed that slight gap just like the real think. The interior and engine bay are also brilliant. Your ethos of quality over quantity has really paid off with this one Ryan – it is beyond excellent.

Quoting Nathanael Kuipers Very impressive looking! You captured the lines of the real one beautifully, which is a feat on itself. Of course the remaining question on these builds with all the unusual angles is: Is it any sturdy so you can play with it, or is it mainly a display model; look, but don't touch..?
Thank you! For the most part, it is rather sturdy inside and out(chassis is even reinforced with technic beams); the one part that does come apart easily is the engine cover...spent a week trying to improve it and finally settled for the pictured solution. So, not quite playable.
