The name T551E1 was chosen because the design bureau thought naming tanks "mark I,II,III" would get too repetitive over time. The tank features 5 small roadwheels (with a new suspension system), a wide and short chassis for increased stability at high speeds, dual 500bhp multi-fuel engines and a new turret design (the gun carries on from the Mark I). The armour is kept light to allow the tank to reach high speeds.
About this creation
The turret features a prominent all-round vision cupola for the commander and the gunner, a floodlight for night operations and a long-range radio transmission antenna.
The wide vision slit gives the driver excellent vision over the battlefield enabling him to effectively control the tank at speeds as high as 80 kphh (50 mph)
Yes, finally names! I was wondering if you really were going to mark XXIV... anyway, very nice scout. Once again, great use of suspension (does that happen to be based off my design or yours?) and you're getting better with details, like the engine. An overall speedy looking scout tank...speaking of which, I really need to get started on one of my own...
oh, yeah! another cool sport tank! I love the engine design, the suspension works great, I hope you have nt forgot about figs and tank killer, I was first to request, if you do, I might reproduce it for my stories, and of course credit you!
Another nice tank! The best is probably the way you did the mantlet. I would suggest building an oscillating turret for it. I already built some and I know those are big challenges. Do you accept the challenge?
