About this creation
The Mandarin's mandatory link (yeah, yeah, not funny...).

So, we all know Detective Comics is FAMOUS for alternate universe story lines. In this case, what if Zod was somehow Superman's biological father?
Text is underneath the photo.
(In case you didn't know, Superman = Kal-El. If you didn't, shame on you! ;D )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We join our typical Kryptonian family as they prepare to have their evening feast, otherwise known as dinner.

Mom: Kal, would you please eat your Babooch stew*?
*If you got the reference, you ARE a Superman fan!

Kal-El: Why, so I can grow up and be strong and triumphant General and Conqueror of Planets in the name of Krypton like Dad?

Zod: Now Kal, watch your tongue. Your mother worked very hard to prepare this meal. Besides, you know everything I do is in the good name of the survival of our people.

Kal-El: OH YEAH?! LIKE KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE AND TERRAFORMING THEIR PLANETS?! GOOD JOB, GENERAL NIMZOD!

Zod: WHY YOU LITTLE, UNGRATEFUL WRETC-

*Superspeed getaway*

Zod: I. WILL. FIND HIM! AND I. WILL. SPANK HIM!!

Zod: HEEERAGH!!

Together: GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Faora: Geez, what does it take to get some peace and quiet around here?!

Tor-an: If I were those parents, I would've sent that kid off to some far-away planet years ago!

Additional Shots:

The top floor.

The whole thing. It is 18 by 22 (this includes the slopes sticking out of the base).

Commentary from Krypton:
I'd like to apologize for the lighting. Usually I use outdoor light, but I got a new lamp for my room, and thought I'd try out those fancy-shmancy white light bulbs. I guess you just can't beat the light of a giant burning ball of hydrogen and helium gases, huh?
The idea came from the alternate faces on the Man of Steel minifigures. Well, that and my strange imagination.
Well, anyway, I wish my fellow opponents the best of luck, and most of all, HAVE FUN!

Quoting Stuart Lucas I like this one a lot, especially after seeing the Man of Steel movie! This is one alternative universe they haven't yet explored in the comics. Can't think why not.
Haha, I have to agree with you there! Thanks for stopping by!

Quoting Topsy Creatori (StoveTopCreator!) I'm not familiar with the Simpson linkage everyone is refering to, but I still enjoyed the 'fun'! :)
I'm with you there, but I can't deny that the Simpsons had some influence on this. Oh crazy brain of mine, what will it think of next...

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy Thank you for some good laughs, Jared. I see you are not only a Superman fan, but also a Simpsons fan. Great work (cool superspeed getaway effect) and good luck with the judges.
Thank you! I'll be honest, I don't really like the Simpson. The first two or three seasons weren't bad, but then it just stopped being funny after that. I can't believe there's still over twenty something seasons. How can people still watch it? You're quite right about drawing inspiration from it though. If there's one gag I liked, it was always Homer choking Bart. I don't know why, I really shouldn't, but it always made me giggle. Anyway, I found it better to get Supes spanked rather than have him chocked. Nonetheless, I'm glad it provided some comedic effect :). Thanks for the comment, and hopefully I'll do better than last year!
Quoting Starscream Soundwave Haha, brilliant work!

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 lol, ok, so, that s the new zod? like in superman 2, but, the new movie I guess, in 2 there where 3 kriptons, now, there is only the general? great piece in any case Jared! yesterday, while getting the joker funhouse, I was tempted to buy the zod-yellow car kit, if it gets on sale, I m sure to do then! krypton used to be withish, now, it seems dark, is it accurate? I hope you do more, well done!
Haha, no, there's actually a bunch of Kryptonians in the new movie! Thanks! You got the fun house? Wow! Yeah, I'd wait for it to come on sale. It's a great set, but definitely not worth the price. If it comes on sale, I'd suggest buying two, because it comes with some really good pieces when purchased in bulk, which I think can help cybercity. So can those cool cars included. Yeah, they really changed Krypton in the new movie, but I didn't mind. I still found it enjoyable. Thank you, hopefully I'll be able to do more if I go to the next round. Only time can tell, haha! Batman coming soon, I promise... we're just in the middle of moving, so my LEGO collection and I are a little separated at the moment...
