"Bombur has fallen in! Bombur is drowning!"
About this creation
The required links to the Middle Earth Mocathalon and my opponent, Andrew the Jedi Ninja. My category is Mirkwood forest:

The dwarves must face the perils of Mirkwood Forest in order to get to the Lonely Mountain. They must evade capture by the Mirkwook Elves, and watch out for the Giant Spiders!

After many days travelling through Mirkwood Forest the dwarves come to a dangerous black river. They cross it in a boat but are surprised on the further shore by a flying deer. Bombur stumbles off the bank and into the river. The cursed water puts him to sleep for days and days and the other dwarves have to drag this fat fellow along, greatly to their annoyance.

The bank (the mass of hair in front of Bombur) is intended to look like mud but I am not sure what I think of the affect. If you have any thoughts, please leave a comment.

Here is my Bombur figure.

Thanks for viewing!!

That Bombur looks fantastic! Brilliant piece usage and shaping. I don't think the mud looks as good, though; using hair is a clever idea, but I think it would only work with flatter hairpieces. A standard "helmet hair", a crew cut(like Dash's from Alpha Team), the one used by Halhi's LOM character - that sort of thing.

Quoting Mark McPeek Great work! The Brick built Bombur is excellent! The bank is pretty good, just a little hairy! :D (pun intended) Good luck!

Quoting Mask of Cheese Awesome! Love the way you used chicken leg pieces to make his beard! As soon as I saw it, I thought of the saying "You are what you eat." ;-)

Quoting A Sargent Those are chicken legs. In his beard. And battle droids. On his HEAD. BRILLIANT. You have my vote.

Quoting A M Interesting technique with that shore--it looks good, but not entirely accurate. Maybe if you used multiple of a single type of hair piece, one that looked the most like mud. Anyhow, brilliant work! Clever idea and excellent execution, too. Chicken leg beard--nice one!
Using just one hairdo might work, although this is a large percentage of my brown hair.

Quoting Jensen Anderson Bombur is great! The hair bank doesn't work for me though. I think a simple bit of slope work would be better.
