Course of the Force is a Lightsaber Relay that benefits Make a Wish and it's taking place right now!
About this creation
I am a big Star Wars fan so when Course of the Force took place for the first time last year, I was really excited about it. What Star Wars fan wouldn't be excited about a Lightsaber relay that includes people dressed as Star Wars characters running down the streets of California, Jabba's Sailbarge driving down those same streets leading the way, and a lot of different vehicles painted up with Star Wars characters? On top of all that, it benefits Make a Wish so it's a for a good cause. Now Course of the Force is taking place for the second time. Every year, it starts somewhere in California north of San Diego and then for a week afterward, runners run down the coast of California until they arrive at the San Diego Comic Con.

This is something that I would like to participate in some day. I would have already participated in it but I don't live in California so it would be harder to get myself there. It looks like a lot of fun though so I will participate in it most likely after I graduate from college.

I got the idea to build a MOC representing Course of the Force when I was watching one of the wrap up videos for one of the Course of the Force days on YouTube. I wanted to do something no one had done before and that's when it came to me. I thought "That's it! I'll build a scene from Course of the Force!". I searched MOCpages to see if anyone else had done that and I couldn't find anything so as far as I know, I'm the first on to do this.

The whole MOC

Minifig sitting on the back of the sailbarge filming the runner

Security guard (they're supposed to be on bicycles but I don't have any LEGO bicycles so I used motorcycles instead)

Another security guard

The back end of Jabba's Sailbarge

Different views of the back end of Jabba's Sailbarge, I only built the back end of it because that was all I could fit in this MOC. It was somewhat challenging to create the correct shape, but I'm happy with how it turned out. It was definitely the most challenging part of this MOC.

Different Minifigures running in Course of the Force:

The spectators

Without Minifigures and the Sailbarge

My first brick built road that I have ever built

The sidewalk

The front of the building

I think that Course of the Force is an awesome event and I can't wait to participate in it in a few years!

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 this event is brilliant! although I don t know who benefits from it, except the sw fans, yet another reason for me to envy those who live there, lol, as for your piece, it s equally neat, I always wondered as to how it would look to have legions of storm troopers marching a conventional city street, as I don t have much sw pieces myself, but, I reconsider now, well done Kayla! what happens with the airport? I d love to see if you added on it, is it still built?
Thanks! Make a Wish benefits Course of the Force. As for the airport and all of my other MOCs I had put together, I took them apart because I had to straighten up my room since I'm going off to college on Saturday and will not be coming back until Thanksgiving. My parents want me to leave my room in somewhat good shape since they will have to look at it for the next 3 months. I never had time to do more with the airport after I built it because I went on vacation for almost two weeks and when I got home I had to start getting ready to leave for college. I'm not taking any LEGO with me to college since there is simply no room in the dorms but I do have LDD on my laptop so the MOCs that I will be posting here, at least until Thanksgiving, will be LDD.
