Project: Goliath Knight
My MASSIVE entry to the second round of the Bio-cup 2013!
About this creation

One night Tallix was patrolling through the city of Metru-nui. He heard a scream, the scream of a matoran.

Tallix raced through the streets, until he reached the source of the screams. There he saw a Ta-matoran. “Come quickly Toa-hero! Over here!” said the matoran before running around a corner. Tallix followed him without thinking. He raced around the corner, finding himself surrounded by rahkshi, the Makuta’s new pets.

The Makuta was there too, and Tallix saw him hand the Ta-matoran a pile of cash.

Tallix soon was escorted to the Makuta’s secret lair, underneath Ga-metru. There the Makuta thought of a use for Tallix.

He placed Tallix in a gigantic mech suit, where his body and mind were put in stasis, but his knowledge was programmed into the mech. The mech fed of his mind and body, using them to pilot itself.

He was placed on an island, programmed to protect an artifact of great importance to the Makuta. There he stayed for years, destroying any living souls that dared to venture to the island. But Tallix was destined for much more…

Tubes are one of my favorite details!

The fingers might be one of my favorite parts.

From behind.

Gearz!

Upper back armor. :)

A few more poses.

All you have to do to remove Tallix is raise the Mech's head... and pull the rider out. Super simple and quick.

With the mech's head all the way back. It folds into the back.

Mech and rider.

A few rider-less poses

Where Tallix sits. Nice and roomy.

Creator’s Comments:
I love how this turned out! I worked so hard on him, but still finished him in the first few days. However, after I finished him my life got crazy. First my family’s computer got a virus. The next day my sister broke her arm, and I spent all day in the emergency room. The next day I played paintball all day (which was awesome). Which brings us to today, where I am hoping to get my entry in on time from my dad’s old work computer…

Anyway, enough about me. I really love how this turned out. He was inspired by the mechanical knights in Infinity Blade II. I worked so hard on this… really hope I survive this round. He uses a Witch Doctor type hip and arm connection (but with more ball joints). Also he DOES have a posable waist!

OK, thanks for looking! Hope you like it! :D

Quoting Glorified Pessimist Nice! This is such a great suit! It is what a power suit should be! With this kind of quality, I think a Toa Infernum revamp is due!
I'll be making one soon, once I get my Bricklink Order! Got me his mask!

Thanks! I've actually been considering one, only a few changes though. :)

Suddenlly, my plans for some of MOCs don't seem very impressive. & I had some awesome ideas.

Awesome design, flow and functionality. More dynamic poses would have pushed it further, perhaps even a way to show how the pilot is piloting it as well (controls, internal greebles, buttons and things). 8 points!

Very good entry! One of the best of this round! Your score: 8

Very menacing, but needs a bit more presentation of posability. 9 points.

Undeniably beautiful. Arguably one of the Round's best works. After the deduction for very little display of the range of motion, from a gut that wanted to rate a 10, I am scoring you 9 points, in fairness. Incredible effort and quality contributed to this Build, really amazing work.

You didn't take a pic that included the whole mech:''( Anyway great moc man, oh and tell me when you get your package:)

Extremely cool MOC. Suppose you showed us what it can actually do (besides slightly widening its arms, but it's hard to tell at first glance), I'd have given you an 9, gladly. Hell, maybe even a 10. With just a ton of closeups and a single, static pose, I can still give it a 8 because I think I guess where and how it could move. What good is making a fully poseable figure, if you don't bother posing it I ask? Well, good luck with the others!

Very, very impressive! Those fingers give it some amazingly wicked character. And I am totally digging the Vizorak shell on the front of the armor. Nice parts usage!

I did something similar to this too! Though it isn't an actual entry. I'll have it here soon.

Quoting [ Chro ] I'll blame it on the size, but all the "other poses" seem to be the same thing. XD
He's actually very posable, but I'm not very good at posing, and I didn't want to accidentally knock him into the bushes. xD. I spent a ton of time making him sturdy and have lots of motion. His hips are the type Witch Doctor has, but with twice as many joints. :)

Quoting L.A. Miranda I envy you and Shadowgear. I wanted to do something similar for Eruei, and I couldn't... Well, dear, I really like this Mech, it's probably the best one of the round: clean color scheme, the pilot doesn't need to be split apart or have his armor removed, the cabin covers him totally and it's almost unnoticeable when piloting the mech, it's totally built with HF and BIONICLE parts with no Technic/System armor... And it also has some pretty nice part usage, specially with helmets/masks! You used all of them pretty well. I really love it. I'm pretty sure you'll get the top puntuation this time. Perfect, my dear. Only... What's up with that stick on the back? Doesn't the MOC stand by itself?
Thanks LA! The thing on the back is a piston. He stands very well. At first he kept falling over, so I made his feet bigger, added friction joints, and pistons. Now it's almost impossible to tip him over. Believe me, I'm clumsy sometimes. xD

Double what Chro said, but fantastic work all the same, Infernum. Good luck.

Very nice entry, easily comparable to Shadowgear's massive mech. I love the monochrome and all of the NPU here and there (Fenrak head mmmmm) and the armoring on the arms and legs is beautiful. I think the torso armor could use some work though—it's not as smooth or fluid as the arms and legs are. Overall great work, and good luck in getting into the next round!

You're in for some heated competition! With Miranda's giant Megablock, and many other great entries, surviving will be tough! This however, is quite something. Despite all of your troubles, you've managed to accomplish a very nice build. Great job! 5/5

Honestly, I wasn't sure if you would be able to pull this off. Your entry was so amazing by itself that I thought a mech suit would only hinder it. Yet somehow, you came up with this. Brilliant moc, I can tell you worked really hard on it. I would never be able to build something like this, great job! :D Oh, and congrats on making it into the EBC :b
