The Great White
A rather interesting mecha with quite the history. Built and used originally by a matoran who dreamed to become a Toa. Made to look like the dreaded Rahkshi, the mecha would strike fear into the hearts of Makuta who saw it and knew what it was. Any survivors of an encounter with this great beast were said to have become mere puddles of fear when even the word "Rahkshi" was spoken. Mikil came across it one day on his travels while following a group of Dark Hunters. He found the machine, and it's sadly dead pilot rotting away in the sand. After making a few simple adjustments, (Making it so he could fit in the darn thing) Mikil used the mecha to defeat the Dark Hunters he was tracking, and left the white beast on the outskirts of a small village in much need of protection. While he greatly liked the power of the mech, Mikil found it uncivilized and much preferred to wield his blade in battle than a large machine.
Now, to get Mikil out of the mech, this false head here...
And folds back.
This can be done for use of the mecha without the false head on too.
Next we unhook these things. (In a perfect world, those ball joints would just slip off of those connectors easier...)
Disconnect the hands,
And lift up.
Now he can step off, and stand next to the mech.
And that's all, thankfully.
Creator's Comments: I friggin hate this thing. Can't wait to finally get some time to go downstairs and tear the things to shreds. It went through about four or five different versions before finally being settled on a tripod type mech. Each and every one failed. Miserably. So after scrapping all other attempts and ideas, somewhere around midnight last night, I speed built this as fast as I could and gave up. This is as good as it's getting.
I wish I'd had more time, but more than that, I wish I was any good with larger MOCs DX This was SOOO out of my element it's not even funny. I didn't have any idea what I was doing. So, lack of time, and skill led this to be a pretty darn pathetic entry. Oh well, I don't care. It is what it is, and I'll try again next year.
Good luck everybody else. Loving all the awesome stuff this contest has produced thus far :D
Looks to have quite a decent amount of poseability. Armor or something covering the pilot's legs may have helped with cohesiveness, otherwise with that third leg out in front, the tripod actually looks rather... well endowed. You get 7 points.
A very nice looking mech, but it's really weird to see the pilot's legs just hanging there. The tripod design is very interesting, in some areas cool and in some a bit messy, but it does retain a nice looking posability. Worth a 7 from me.
First thought: "it's either a tripod, or it has a massive X" and after that I couldn't shake the image. The upper half is seriously cool, but man, I don't even know what you were thinking, with the dude's little legs just... dangling down there. 6 points.
Really, it's not too bad. I know I would be proud if I managed a mech suit for a bio-moc, especially like this. The torso and everything in general are pretty dang good. Aside from the front leg (actually, if it were maybe just a little rearranged and adjusted it would probably look fine).
The thing that bugs me it's not the fact that the suit has three legs, but the third being different of the other two. Otherwise I don't have anything to say about it, I really like how it's made mainly of balljoint connections, and specially, the use of that Av-Matoran torso for the seat! I don't think is a bad entry, actually it's pretty good (and I don't usually say that of Rahkshi headed MOCs =P), but I have to agree that there are some points that could be better worked (the third leg is a good example). Good luck, dear! ;3
Third leg will always be awkward to me. :p
Aside that I like the concept of this being a disguise as opposed to a mech of sorts.
The color scheme was a leap of faith(because of Mikil), and it works brilliantly!
Overall it's a great moc Gale!
