Hey people, back with my entry for Round two of the Bio-Cup! After multiple attempts at this I've finally came out with something that I'm quite happy with. For this mech suit I went with mech that you'd find in Avatar or a mini AT-RT (Unlike everyone else with their power and exo suits :P) and put a post Apoc spin on it, that's why you see a lot of greys and browns mixed in with the black. He is fitted with two main weapons, first is his belt fed rotary cannon and secondly he has a Saw Dagger mounted on his left arm. With these and along with his extreme strength it gives Egras the ability to take out any foe from close up or further back.
The mech stands roughly 1 foot so it's a real pain to work with in my current photo set up, which is meant for smaller system builds. This is why you see some important stuff cropped out and some sloppy editing, I just couldn't be bothered to make every picture perfect. And Yuri I swear if you critique me on the lack of poses, I will.. Well I'll probably do nothing but I won't be very happy... >:(
Anyway, hope you enjoyed and I hope this gets me into Round 3!
A rather unique concept. It works alright with the character and the post-apoc theme is nice, but slightly inconsistent, as the junky-ness of the arms and torso clashes with the smoother appearance of the legs. I think there could've been a better way to fit the pilot in, since with the legs hanging it really must hurt for them to be hit by the mech legs all the time. A better seat and better leg support could've worked. The handlebars are also a bit weird and could use some rethinking. 7 points.
I don't think you guys get the point. My goal with this wasn't to create a suit of armour like everyone else, I wanted to make more of a vehicle. It's not designed to protect the user it's designed to enhance the user's abilities, so they could do something they normally couldn't. Think of it as a dune buggy with legs, not a suit.
I think that this is actually a pretty neat piece of machinery, even if it isn't along the lines of your competitors' exo suits and hardsuits. I'm a fan of the steampunk color scheme and the gold tubes on the back, though they do protrude a little, and that gun is sweet. I think the arms could've been done better, but other than that, awesome job and good luck in the cup!
It's good, but it doesn't really define a mech, what I mean is your moc isn't really inside the suit, his legs just hang out of the suit and he's not covered very much at all. Whereas its supposed inside ,more covered up. Other then that it's a good moc.
