Bilbo is lost in the caves of the Misty Mountains! Stumbling across the creature Gollum, Bilbo agrees to play a game of riddles for Gollum to tell him the way out. But if Bilbo loses, Gollum gets to eat him!
Overview. Although I am proud out how it turned out and that I built another LoTR thing without owning any sets, I know I could have done better and perhaps done something more creative than just build the scene if I had more time. As it is, we finish packing today and I probably won't have LEGO or internet access until Friday and even then I'll be tired from jet lag. Anyway, please excuse the less-than-great-pictures and focus most of your attention on the rockwork and macrofigures.
I love my Gollum.
Bilbo just kinda reminded me of the dude from Minecraft. His hair was red tho.
Rocks are cool..
Bilbo has a decent sitting-down look imo.
I like how Sting turned out as well.
Thanks to the judges and everyone who was involved in this competition. I doubt I'll move on but it has been great fun.
MAN!!!! I forgot to comment woops sorry bout that man um anyway great build some really good elements to this build definitely good rock-work btw if your back in da usa you have good net right? we should def do some gaming what console are you on 360 ps3 or pc? I can do all three with a variety of games just let me know =D
To the judging table! I hate reading long comments, and usually skip to the end to see if I got the vote or not. You might, dunno. Anywho: First off, AMAZING Macro scaled build! I love all the elements of SNOT throughout it all. Second off, Glorious figures. They are VERY well done. However, I can't really see Bilbo with red hair. Your rockwork was some of your best thus far. I like looking at this build. (Even if the bricks could do with a bit of a cleaning) But in the end, your opponent captured the scene better, in my mind. Yours was truer to the movie though, I'll give you that. My vote goes to K.B.
It's difficult for me to answer you in English, but I try it.
I think you made a great entry. Macroscale is a really hard kind of building. You managed both charakters to be recognized. Personally I prefer Gollum. He seems to be very movable like in the film(s).
And yes, it was my intention to post around the same time to keep it fair in the building time.
Have a nice time on holidays and thanks for being a great opponent, too.
Ähem ... and you have yet to add your creation to the MEMA-group.
