Jekatyerina spy satellite
The Jekatyerina is the Tongorian Union's spy satellite. It was built to counter Brickviller's Chasovoy satellite.
About this creation
Huge thanks for Bruckviller and his Chasovoy spy satellite for inspiring me to build one for my country in Divide&Conquer II .

Екатерина (Jekatyerina) spy satelliteThis pictue took 17 hours to render, so a like for that would be greatly appreciated ;)

I incorporated a lot of greebles, some have use, some are ther only for the look.

These 4 thrusters position the satellite, so the Tongorian Union's intelligence knows which hand you use the spoon with.

These are the fuel cells for the thrusters.

This houses the long range communications array, so it can send pictures and other useful info.

There is indeed a communication system in its end.

In case someone is so brave that attacks the satellite, it can defend itself with 8 defensive missiles.

This was a lot of building and waiting (well, mostly waiting xD) so some feedback would be greatly appreciated. Oh and if you correctly guees my inspiration you get a cookie (and a comment too)!

Thanks for viewing!

Quoting Achintya Prasad Massive! Any plans for a real one?
Sadly, no. I don't have enough greeble parts, especially, the huge amount of joints used in this.

Wow. And this is the kind of stuff that lends me to say things like what you quoted me for on your homepage. With the satellite standard where it is, I feel like mine are barely par. Oh well, the tech in them is good so time to build my own massive satellite (but first, I have another project).

I love the russian names you give to your builds. Amazing detail on the thruster tanks, and believe me, i know the pain of rendering (type 59 took about 16 hours at full HD)

Very nice design, with a lot of cool details and working features. One tip. Thrusters are too heavy handed for accurate positioning. Ion engines (built now) are electrically powered and provide variable degrees of thrust extremely accurately to position satellites. They aren't good for spaceships as they aren't very powerful, but for something like this they would be perfect, as they require much less fuel.
