I have finally come into contact with Darvainian. He said to meet up with him in Rainos. I have found a captain who will take me there, which is lucky for me since Iím considered an outlaw in Mythron. We have traveled across the water and entered into a river, where we will follow it until we reach a certain dock. I am taking my gifts along with me, for I was planning on giving them to Darvainian when I arrived in Mythron. Unfortunately, I did not know that Mythron and Rainos have banded together to wipe out all outlaws!
Captain: We are almost there. Lucky for us, we havenít come into contact with any pirates. So, youíre meeting up with an elf friend of yours, eh?
Avelese: Thatís right. I havenít been able to see him since Iíve arrived in Mythron. Finally, I will be able to see him once more.
Avelese: I see the dock!
Avelese: Captain, I thank you for understanding my dilemma, thanks for taking me across the sea to Rainos.
Captain: Donít thank me (sword-out-of-sheath sound) you outlaw!
Suddenly, out from behind the trees six men rushed onto the docks heading for the ship! It was a trap! The captain had planned it all planned out. There were three Mythronian men and three Rainosian men.
The captain lunged at me and I only had time to pull out my dagger. I staggered back on top of my barrels.
The men ran onto the boat in a fury! I had to think fastÖ The captain lunged straight into my knife, killing himself, although they all said I (the outlaw) stabbed him mercilessly.
I had to defend myself from what seemed like the captain of the Mythron men.
By now I had unsheathed my sword. I kicked some barrels at the soldier to give me more time. I couldnít just kill them, for then I would really be an outlaw, and they would hunt me down.
I did the only logical thing left to do, and that was jumping off the boat.
In I splashed and swam as far as I could away from the boat. The strange thing was is that they didnít bother going after me. I guess they just wanted the treasure and kill me if possible.
Rainos Commander: Well, too bad the captain died, he could have gotten a good deal of treasure from that wealthy elf. Should we go after him?
Mythron Commander: I donít think we need to, he can swim far underwater and whatís the use? We donít want anyone else to find this treasure. Letís get our treasure home, and then go after that elf!
Rainosian: Commander, look what I found!
Rainos Commander: Nice find! Now letís get these things off the ship and quick if we ever want to catch that elf!
In the river, further up from the docks, Avelese emerges, gasping for air.
I continue to follow the river upstream. I continue this several days, drinking from the river, and catching fish here and there to eat.
As I rested beneath a tree, I decided that Rainos and Mythron are going to pay a little price for stealing all my goods. I wasnít sure when they would, but they will.
One day, the river seemed to get more and more like a swamp. Finally, I realized that it did turn into a swamp. Oh well, I thought, I guess Iíll just keep treading on and on until I reach some civilization. Then I can possibly found out where Darvainian is.
I had just finished traversing the swamp when I looked up, and there before me was a city in the distance!
Finally I had made it to some civilization. Iíll keep to the shadows from here on.
Rainos Commander: Well, this is some mighty fine treasure if I can say so myself!
Mythron Commander: I agree. But anyway, letís go catch that elf!
Some more photos of the builds.
I tried adding more photos of the ship, but for some reason, they wouldn't upload. :(
