Here is just a little moc that I dedicate to the nurses at the Chemotherapy Day Ward, Christchurch Oncology Dept.
About this creation

I thought I'd try my hand at those adorable cube dudes for this moc because there is just something about them that makes me smile, and these nurses are the happiest, funniest, friendliest bunch of professionals I've ever met. Cheers girls, you are a rock to so many people.

Beautiful MOC from a beautiful human being. So glad to see that you found the energy and drive to put a creation like this together; I can tell it's something you're proud of (rightfully so). I assume this will be on display at the convention? Do you have an 'items to find list' prepared? =) Those vibrant colors are sure to garner lots of attention!

Art is such a wonderfully expressive way to circumspect life. The ability to look at it from a whole new perspective and throw a little humor in as well is truly a gift. Knowing the situation you are facing, and that others will, brings these little tributes to a level of beautiful exultation and humanistic grace that transcends "Lego moc". The title says it all. It is therapy to you as well as us the viewer. I lost my friend the other day to liver cancer. Seeing this, I know everything will always be just right. Thank you.

Quoting Leda Kat Thank you for understanding it. I hope I haven't offended anybody, but if anyone says they are offended I will take the moc down.
Hi, again, Millie. I think my comment may have been ill-conceived and I apologize for my wording. I didn't want to give you the impression that I was offended, or felt that this particular work could offend others. I lost my Grandfather to liver cancer over a decade ago and it still stings like it was yesterday. He was possibly the greatest man I have ever known, so cancer is something that is a bit of a sore subject with me, pretty much at all times. I felt that this piece of work was intended as a heartfelt thank you to those nurses that work hard every day and have to find some way to maintain some level of cheer in the face of the very serious subject with which they deal. I assure you that I received it that way myself and can't imagine that it would be received some other way. My point was not that your work has a threat of offending, but the intention when first starting this type of project may be incorrectly interpreted when finished. I don't feel that your finished product leaves room for any such possibilities. Your intentions, your MOC, and its presentation are quite simply...beautiful. I'm sorry to know that you are dealing with cancer at some level in your family, and I really hope for you that whoever it is will pull through.

Quoting Tim C There is a danger of making light of a tough time for families and patients, but I don't think you did that here.
Thank you for understanding it. I hope I haven't offended anybody, but if anyone says they are offended I will take the moc down. However I hope all can see that although I haven't made a song and dance about it this is a very personal moc to me and reflects my current life situation. As artists we all draw from life experiences and our everyday realities to add to the realism of our work. There is no bad taste here regarding the subject, it is simply a thank you to the nurses.

Hadn't seen anything from you in a while, and even with this being a style I haven't seen from you, I still had a hunch it was your work when I saw it. You took a very hard subject and put it to the brick. There is a danger of making light of a tough time for families and patients, but I don't think you did that here. Each of your characters have a personality that couldn't have been easy to protray. I also love the scenery they have been put in. That may have been what tipped me off that it was yours.

It's beautifully done and appears to be the happiest hospital on Earth. I wish they were all that way! Speaking of which, I'm not sure why you're at the chemotherapy ward but I hope everything is alright with you and yours. Whatever the situation, my deepest and most sincere thoughts and wishes to you!

Very nice! I agree with an earlier comment that this kinda looks like a musical, but, then again, a lot of your builds ARE based on musicals. I really like the use of the "friends" colors.

This is great, Mills! The fun and joy of this build seems to me to be as much a reflection of your own upbeat outlook as it is the good nature of those caring for you. What a terrific way to bring some joy into a very tough situation. Here's wishing you the very best once again, and hat's off to all of those in uniform caring for their patients!

Quoting George Marshall I wonder though, is this actually what the hospital looks like on the inside?
No, the real hospital isn't made out of Lego ;) It does have nice big comfy lazy boy chairs tho.

Quoting Dave Kaleta Makes you look at those potion vials a whole different way doesn't it?
Hehe yeah I wanted it to look as toxic as possible and they were the perfect colour. Cos that stuff is nasty. One of them if it touches your flesh it kills it immediately, and they pump it into your veins!

Great build! And it does look like they're about to break out into a song! It takes a special kind of person to do the job they do, and you can certainly see it in the characters you created. Well done!

You mate, are awesome, and that is a word often over-used on the interwebz but in this case quite appropriate. Knowing what is going on in your life and you are still more prolific than me (and gorgeous and talented too, goes without saying) and finding positivity and cheerful charm in the situation as well. You have my utmost admiration and me and my shame are going to crawl under a rock to build. Great MOC by the way ;) Yours, the Delatron.

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy Leda, dear, this is beautiful. This will be such a nice surprise for the nurses when they see your creation. The way you designed it looks a bit like a musical. Brilliant.
Funny you should say that actually Thor, because when I was building it I had a deliciously poor taste musical number from an episode of Family Guy in my head.
