A clockwork bird.
About this creation

This was originally going to be my entry in BBC#65 (a contest on BZPower) but I never finished him in time. Because I was satisfied with the areas I already built (the head, wings and upper-body)I decided to make the rest too. This is my second attempt at a clockwork MOC. My last clockwork moc was a failed attempt at the genre. This MOC also shares some aspects with Leyka (a bird moc from last year) and helped to make this one.

The exposing gears on the sides of the body was done on purpose to show its inner mechanics. None of the gears can move. They are for appearance purposes only

Amazing! I love every bit of it, the center piece the most, mainly because of the small gear portruding through the chest plate.

Incredible bird! The mechanical look adds a lot to it; almost as if it were meant to work.

this is awesome, first the design is really great, those gears really work well although they don't move, and those legs are really bird-y, and that beak is just plain creative, i think you need more gold on the side of his body, but meh, not a big deal, still awesome btw can the wings really spread ?

A great looking automaton. I can just imagine it whirring and clicking and ticking and flapping its wings and stalking around on its talons. The gold blades for the wing feathers is a great choice of part for the job.

Wow. That is one of the most impressive Bionicle MOCs I've seen in a while. The entire construction is exceptionally well done. An easy 5/5.

Quoting Gringat the Repugnant You're one of the few people I know who can make bird MOCs look good. As for this one in particular, I'm in love! Or at least sufficiently awed. :P The gear placing is pretty much perfect (especially the one right on its sternum) and the wing shape from above looks really elegant too.
Ha, that gear is a special one, because it is held by friction. I loved that so much I also used it in the feet :D This is actually my second bird MOC (First one was Leyka), I guess you could count Eris even if she was a humanoid one :p Thanks anyway
Quoting Taile of the verdent pyre... true show of skill Dilan great job.

Quoting legoguy 1160 EPIC. Do you know how many gears are in it?
The legs have 10 gears, the wings 6 (not counting the Bohrok neck connectors, the body 17 and the head 7. So a total of 40 gears. ^_^
Quoting L.A. Miranda Ooooooh, the wing design made me think there was a marvelous mechanism that allowed the wings to be extended like a shining sun! I feel disappointed... Anyways, it is still awesome, dear. I really like the version of the Leyka beak, the leg design (those feet <3) and the massive amount of gears on the body. It's a shame you couldn't enter in time with it. Great job, dear! =D
Ah, I tried to make such a mechanism but it proved to be harder than expected so I left it more simple :p Glad you like it

Awesome. Could it go into a full wingspan, or are to trying to keep the wings more "solid"?

Dylan, this is marvelous, Sir. I absolutely love the contouring and texturing on the head (awesome Profile) and the torso, acheived by the exposed gear edges. 5/5, and masterful work. Cheers!~

You know Yu-Gi-Oh? Because this bears an uncanny resemblance to the Winged Dragon of Ra card. Whether you know of that or not, this is still a great bird.

Quoting Ventum (Mittens) I would look at it, but the pictures are small :P I think everyone would be more happy if you changed the format :)
If you click on the pictures they appear in a larger format

Nice! The gears look great on the sides, but can it's wings fold out or do they stay down?
