The Horus Drone and Cockroach HSLRV(H) are Gaufran's latest weapons, designed to provide valuable intel to all friendly units, while keeping operators safe.
About this creation

The Horus drone is Named after the All seeing Ancient Egyptian God. Nothing escapes its "eye".

The "eye" is green, to indicate that it is under manual control. Red means fully autonomous, like the Cyclops Drone. The horus can operate in both modes.

The "eye" can see in Infra red, and ultra sound to gaze through walls.

The Drone is powered by a micro fusion cell, and uses hover technology, not engines.

The intakes are for cooling purposes only. The Drone exploits active camouflage to hide itself from ground fire, although it is not a stealth vehicle by any other means.

It is armed with two Eagle-Eye lasers, the standard anti armor/aircraft laser in Gaufranian service, along with a 27mm rapid fire coilgun. The Lasers alone cannot destroy tank armor, but they soften it enough for the coilgun to destroy them.

An underside view, better showing the weapons. The Horus would rather run from a fight, but in a pinch, that coilgun and the two lasers can be deadly, to air and ground units.

The drone rarely needs fueling, but when it does, it lands on hardened wingtips and its tail.

Die Scum, Die!

The Cockroah High survivability Light Reconnaissance Vehicle (hover) , or HSLRV(H) is a Hover vehicle, so named because of its habit of not dying. It is small, very fast, and harder to squish than even its namesake. We got a Lockheart Co Pentdragon Mech to try, it just fell over trying.

With a very low set hull, and twin hover engines, the Cockroach can reach speeds in excess of 200 KM/H.

It isn't a fighter either, but carries an intergrated defense turret, with another 27mm coilgun, two Venom missiles, and a hard kill system for destroying missiles. The green light indicates it is manned, but once again, it can be autonomous.

With a gyro stabilizer, and an onboard computer, Firing on the (rapid) move is easily achieved.

The Brave Pilot, with his trusty PDW, for Defense if he is caught behind enemy lines.

A close up, showing the neural link headset.

Here he demonstrates how to enter the vehicle.

The pilot uses a neural link to control the vehicle, with a similar system to the Black Eagle's "Spirit" computer making sure no mistakes are made.

Final Group shot.

Hail Gaufrania!

Awesome stuff, I like the overall shape and ballance of both, the recon drone especially. Also cool intakes and I like the way the eye moves

Very well built and very well photographed. The viewer is able to see every detail of these complicated builds. The aircraft is highly evocative of the HALO esthetic. I would recommend that in future models you eliminate the luminous eye feature on both platforms for two reasons: First, no part of any recon platform should ever glow... at all. It's like the eye is designed to spoil camouflage and draw fire. Second, the shift in color between red and green when operating under manual or autonomous mod needlessly provides hostile observers with important information. An enemy will often base his actions (or inactions) on what he knows about a threat. The red light green light feature just informs him and helps him make better tactical decisions. Keep the eye... ditch the eye light! Scouts out!
