2013 Bio-Cup Round 1: Piko
Banished...
About this creation

Name: Piko
Race: Unknown
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Origin: Unknown
Powers: Enhanced speed, agility, strength, and sight
Weapons: Katanas
Bio: Piko was bred for war. His whole life was devoted to training for it. But then the war was over before he got to see action. His superiors debated what to do with a highly advanced warrior. In the end they banished him to guard a gate for eternity. Piko wasnít told that he was supposed to be a warrior. So he assumed that he was meant to guard the gate. For a very long time, he guarded the gate. But he started to grow suspicious. As he picked up scraps of information, he realized his true purpose. Then with anger and frustration fueling him, as he had just found out there was a war going on, he went to hunt down his banishers. When he arrived he was stunned to see himself. One of his superiors tried to explain, but Piko wouldnít listen. He brutally slaughtered his banishers, and the imitation of himself. Afterwards Piko was sorry for killing them. So he sought out a team of Toa to redeem himself. The team accepted him, even though he wasnít a Toa. He helped them to accomplish many great deeds. Even though he wasnít a Toa, he was the most powerful of them all, but haunted by the many years he spent at the gate, and by his brutal killing of his banishers. Years later he took a quest alone to find out the true purpose of the gate, and to discover more about his banishers. He hasnít been heard of since.

Behold Piko! Heís just under nine inches.

Front.

Side.

Back, you can see his Katana holder now.

Legs, bottom yes, upper meh.

Arm, simple, but it needed to be short.

Torso. Very happy with this, it really suits him, and uses some cool techniques.

More of what I did.

Pulling out the Katanas.

Thatís it for now! Bye!

(sigh) Very happy. This guy turned out very good in my opinion. Iím very excited for the Bio-Cup, hopefully this guy gets me to Round 2.

See ya!

Good build, I like what you did with the torso and the sword holder technique (althouhg it could have been better covered up). However, the character itself falls pretty bland to me, design-wise, its one of those cases where the custom build, if you think about it, doesn't make that much of a difference on the design. Also, hat neck is too tall. 6 points.

I agree with the other judges, there's a lot of unexplored potential here. Still, a good entry! Your score: 6

Pretty good, there's some interesting techniques used, however some details lack especially on the back and the shoulders are awkwardly low. 5 points.

Quoting Clever Crowe I like the technique you used for the sword holders, innovative, that. Figure wise not bad, although both the back of the head, upper shoulders in back, and back of upper arms are ungreeb'd and could've used a touch. I'm giving it a 5. Cheers with the Cup~
Thanks for the constructive feedback. It's very nice to get that, especially from someone like you. Regardless of whether I make it to Round 2 or not, I'm going to keep this guy, and work on him. Thanks again Crowe.

Quoting Yuri Fassio It's a nice build, with some nice ideas. However, the original neck structure you gave him caused his shoulders to droop too low from the head. Also, though I admire how you chose to use the same technique in the upper section of both arms and legs, the techique itself is not very effective. It's a 5. Good luck with the others.
Thank you for your time, and feedback. It's always nice to get that, thanks.
