Time to get fancy!
About this creation

Maybe it's not too late for you! Quite the BioCup while you can!

The elegance of this creation cannot be beat!

Look at that black coat! You won't find a smarter coat made of LEGO parts!

That style! That monochromatic style, remarked by those small touches of white!

It even has a bowtie! Retreat while you can, seriously! This creation is the summun of sophistication! The maximun expression of elegance! The...!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!?

Name: Eruei.
Species: Unknown (believed to be a Great Being).
Titles: Block Head, That Freak.
Status: Alive.
Ocupation: "Envoy of the Gods".
Power: Apparently none.
Personality: Polited, smart, sophisticated, but likes jokes and fun.
Mask: Kanohi Ehara, Great Mask of Surprise. Reveals aleatory things when it's opened, from a giant cannon to a Brakas monkey. While it's not officially a real Kanohi, since it's a mask with powers, it's usually refered as one.
Main Weapon: None.
Secundary Weapon: None.
Theme Song:
Character Song: ---
MOC Status: Surprisingly (and necesarily) assembled.

Well, it seems I can't find a proper theme for a suited guy with a LEGO block for head, so...

... here you have a song about a girl in love with a fire extinguisher.

Seriously, Miranda, seriously...

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?

Well, jokes aside, this was the best MOC I get from my crazy mind without using System or clothes on the body. Also I love the character concept, and I enjoyed it a lot. Isn't that the most important part of the contest, having fun? ;3

You may think not, but seriously, this was one of my most worked creations. I had tons of hard work, tons of hours, tons of parts wasted on it.

I put all my care trying to get the most humanoid proportions on everything: torso, arms, legs... EVALUATE THAT, JUDGES! PERFECT HUMAN PROPORTIONS *^*!

Also, some 'tricks' I used in this MOC, L.A. style (I think I'm going to call them 'Miranda touches' xDD). First, a small horn/claw holds the Inika armor.

Second, the Metru armor is trapped between the arm structure, the HF bone, and the Nuparu Mahri shoulder armor.

Third, the HF 1.0 feet are trapped by a wide horn and two LEGO round small plates. This design was used first on the Child of Determination, Kenban.

Fourth, the thigh 'upper armor' is trapped too with that small light grey pin.

Fifth, not exactly a trick, but a small modification of Gringat's hand design already used on Rudra. Pretty interesting considering that the white part in question isn't very useful in BioMOCs...

And last and most important trick, the HF chest plate. I can't explain well why, but this parts holds tight the entire estructure and design, which would be a bit loose without it.

Oh, and sorry, Yuri, there isn't waist articulation point. I tried to add one, but it didn't work, and I think the MOC works fine without it. It still has plenty articulation in other points, like arms, shoulders or the 'tail' of the coat.

Something I'm still not very pleased are the legs. While they keep a good human proportion, as I tried to do, the design isn't very interesting and they may look a bit bulky. I wanted to make a trousers-like legs without using HF plates (I didn't want to 'steal' Vedkarr's self-MOC idea), but well, it didn't work as well as I wanted. But I really suck at custom legs. It took me six hours to develop this. Seriously. Six hours.

But when I see that Eruei can do a headstand, I feel so glad about how epic he results. =3

Now, a comparative picture with my other self-MOCs and mascots: Toa Lianyu, my first self-MOC; Toa Elnida, self-MOC of Elnida Metallic; Sehder, mascot of The Inhabitants contest; and Surait, 'mascot' of the Etherian race.

Lianyu: Hey hey hey HEY! Who are you? Who do you think you are to challenge me and try to get my job of self-MOC!? I DARE YOU TO FIGHT ME FOR IT! YOU WON'T HAVE ANY...!

Lianyu: I wasn't ready...

HEAD CANNON!! BOOYAH!!

The called Kanohi Ehara (from the Maori "Ehara!", an idiom that expresses amazement), Great Mask Of Surprise, allows Eruei to summon random and various objects from his face in order to, literally, 'face' everyone!

Lianyu: You… You still haven’t seen the last from me…
Eruei: Oh, c'mon! Can't you stop it? It's nothing you can do about it, L.A. choose me as his representative here. You're still his main character, his self-MOC, just quit crying!
Lianyu: No! I'm L.A. in LEGO, not you! And you won't have any chance of win anything! Because...

Lianyu: BECAUSE YOUR HEAD DOESN'T MATCH YOUR BODY!!

Eruei: EEEEH!? How can you say me such cruel things!?

Eruei: You deserve the worst pain on this world! Be ready for suffer!
Lianyu: Eh! Wait! I'm still not ready!

*CLANG!*

Eruei: Huh?
Lianyu: ...

Lianyu: Lame...
Eruei: Shut up...

The Ehara is linked to the user and reacts even without the knowledge of the user. For example, developing face expresions with false eyebraws. Here you can see it sad...

Doubtful...

Mad...

And absent-minded. Hm? How this is 'absent-minded', you ask?

Well... The Ehara is playing Arcanoid.

"BING!"

Oh, almost forgot, the size. He's exactly 25 cm. Fiuuuuuuu...

Eruei 1000 heads photo ErueiRandomHeads_zps8e91982a.gif

And if you don't like the head, here you have a crappy gif I made with some random photos! (And testing a new program)

Eruei: Hey hey! Greetings everyone!

Eruei: What do you think about the entry (me)? Fancy and cool, huh? Well, duh, I know some of you won't like my head's idea, but L.A. likes it. The blue contrast works well, in his opinion...

Eruei: Also, what kind of cool head would you design for a MOC with a suit? Nitronian? Gardenian? A Great Matatu? Stormer's helmet? Witch Doctor's sk...?

Razar: GRYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

*CLOCK*

Eruei: ...

Eruei: Well... That was ankward...

Eruei: I suppose that means it's time to end this... Well, dears, hope you like me! Give me your support in order to win the tournament!!

Eruei: Bye bye and good luck everyone!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeell... That entry round theme almost kill me.

Round 1 - Original character
Humanoid character, with a max size of 25cm/9.5in. The entry must not be scrapped since it will be used for future round themes.

Humanoids! With no custom parts or clothes! New creation! And mostly BIONICLE, HF and Technic! Most important, KEEP THE MOC ASSEMBLED. Enough hard for me, then the rivals of this year are pretty tough. Tch.
Yuri said that you can see this round as the development of a Bio-Cup Self-MOC, a mascot or something.

Humanoid + self-MOC + keep assembled = MOC with a suit.

So I took the body of Sellur, which I was trying to revamp, and started to build. But...

MOCing block...

*sigh*

Where was I... Oh, yeah, I tried to get some inspiration, mainly in the Kowainas from the Yes! Pretty Cure 5 anime series, the Soul Eater manga, and the Arcana Heart 3 videogame Elnida gave me for my birthday (thanks bro ;3). And then I found some old pictures of myself with a LEGO container... And I had a revelation! After a lot of job, pain, tears, sweat and blood (?), I build... Myself! =D

You're allowed to laugh. ;3

My sister gave me that container for Christmas, and for some reason I started to use it as a mask. I think I should add something to keep it attached to my face, gravity doesn't work well... Meh. xD
Oh, and yes, I usually dress like that.

So, well, I'm very happy with the result. Not so happy with the fact that I used some System (challenge failed), I didn't manage to get a decent blue tie with my actual parts, or I decided to scrap NeoSycarax armor, Sellur and Suire for this MOC, but well, it looks great. I'm very proud of the result of my hard job.

My goal this year was to make it to the Round 2 (at least), but being honest, I don't mind if I don't pass the eliminatories. I have work to do, and maybe I wouldn't be able to continue anyways. But the most important thing is that a lot of great MOCers are debuting this year, and the tournament will be pretty interesting even if I can't join. So, everyone, FAITO!!! Make me proud of share battlefield with you, dears! ToT

Lucky charms, hugs and that random stuff nobody wants from me,

L.A.

P.S: if someone could give this guy a proper theme, it would be wonderful =)

HOW THE DINGLEDANGOS THE 50 LIKES OF ERUEI WENT DOWN TO 48!? D= *sobs* EDIT: Okey, it seems it was a global problem of the site since most of the MOCs featured on each user' main page have lost two likes... Hope it will be solved soon!

Quoting Garrett A. Hey L. A., stopping by to ask a question: I've noticed on my last two MOCs, I haven't yet recieved a comment. I wasn't really sure if it was my quality had dropped again, or you've just been busy (I've noticed an overall lack of activity from you) Greatest respects, and cheers!~
Fortunately (I guess for you at least xD) I 've been really busy these days. In fact I didn't even build anything in the past two months (kill me .__.). I can't wait to be back, but please forgive my lack of reviews on your creations until then. I just hate to say just 'hey, good job'. Thanks for caring, dear, it means a lot for me. <3

Quoting Indy * So awesome! Amazing body design, and actually I like the random head xD It's very creative what you did with it! Glad to see you're keeping it assembled :P Very well done!
Thank you a lot, dear! I'm actually very pleased with him, though some parts of him are a bit loose... But I have my tricks for that! ;3
Quoting Gale Winthrope I really can't tell you how in love with this I am. I just can't.
Me neither. I have already upgraded him, and build a minifig version and a small mech! AND I WANT MORE!! <3

Quoting Ignika and Leewan . Amazing ! The body is very well done, but the HF body armor contrasts a bit too much with the global style of the MOC, which is more Bionicle-oriented. Shins are a bit too wide, too, I think this guy would need rather slim legs. But the concept of the MOC is really great, that's an awesome idea, and the head is pure genius. BTW, do you have instructions for the head ? (Yes, someone had to do that joke...)
Good critique, indeed! While actually I don't find the Hf plates very contrasting, they difficult his poseability, so I may change them. The legs are too blocky, yes, but was the best desing I could manage for him. Though, he will probably be upgraded if ideas and parts come to me! Thanks a lot!

I'm glad to announce that Eruei not only passed the Eliminatories, but has been the 1st ranked! *^* Now, the judge's reviews!
Quoting Johann Dakitsch Haha, great! Nicely built, and great concept. And of course, an outragesouly fun concept for a head. My only nitpick is that I find the legs a little bit blocky for the suit look, but its passable. 9 points to you, good sir.
I KNEW I COULDN'T BE THE ONLY ONE THAT THINKS THAT ABOUT THE LEGS. You have style, dear ;3 Thanks for those beautiful 9 points!
Quoting Berial . Excellent! Well done Miranda! Again you've made a very refreshing and original entry! This is well built, creative and fun! Certainly one of the best and most surprising entries of this round! I still remember your last entry in 2012's cup, I thought it was one of the best of the whole competition! I didn't get to comment on it (I was very busy) but I did vote for you. Even doing so you unfortunately didn't get too far last year, but you're a very promising builder and I hope you get to pass to further rounds this year so I can see more of your skills! Congratulations! Your score: 9
You gave me a 7 last time e__e Wait, were you refering to Elnida Mirai? xD Nah, now seriously, thanks a lot. I have seen your creations long ago, before even I decided to join MOCpages, and I were amazed. It's a shame that you didn't post anything more, but I recognize your abilities, and your words are a real honor. Thanks a lot, dear!
Quoting Monarth GS This is so unique and random, I don't even know where to start :D Here, take my 9 points. And now that I'm over with that... love that tux look, it's perfect and the head is so silly that it makes itself work for the whole moc. I didn't like it at first glance, but when the cannon and eyebrows came into play I began to adore it. Well done =)
He he he, I was not sure if this would please the judges since it doesn't look like a BIONICLE or a HF at all. And also because of the head. But I'm glad everyone like it! Thanks, Monarth! =D
Quoting Chris Yee Just for you, LA. You really went to town on this one. Love all the little details, the bow tie, the various designs to mimic full tuxedo dress. The blue cube, although simple in design (it's a brick cube!) It does bring out the character quite well. Here's a 9. It suits you. ^_^
'Tuxedo' still sounds so strange to me... xD Thanks a lot, dear, and sorry for bothering you to comment =) Will you MOC again, by the way? Since the Hal'Ojin Matriarch I haven't seen anything from you...
Quoting Clever Crowe Know what, Miranda?; I raffed and RAFFED. =P And that has affected your Score (but we'll get to that in a minute). First, I thought that I was going to see a MOC focused on fully shapesculpting a Tuxedo (entry shot landed the whole idea quite nicely, 'puttin-on-The-Ritz'-style) which you did quite admirably - and then, scrolling down, I just LOL'ed: I mean - A 4X4 BLUE CUBE, as a BioMOC's head. Unadorned. Brazen. Man, I'm STILL laffin. That takes Cajones, amigo. =) Well-deserved points for the Figure, the obvious care taken in shaping the lines of the Tux, cummerbund, gloves and tie, while still fully-imagined proportion work - but additional points for the unapologetically silly Head and photo-narrative Finish Sequence. Cumulative Score = 9 refreshing points.
HAHAHAHAHAHA, "TAKES CAJONES AMIGO"!! HILARIOUS! Almost kill my family with that. I'm going to put that on the title of my homepage. xD By the way, I'm not sure if it's due to the censorship, to make the joke or whatever, but it's with 'O', not 'A'. Just in case. Anyways, I'm really glad you like him! ;D P.S: It took me a while to find 'raff' in a dictionary .__.
Quoting Yuri Fassio Sooner or later my earlier comment will make it through. For now, 8 points.

I was born crackers 8D I look foward the same from me too! Oh, and also from you, yeah...
Quoting Coconut Fanatic Bow ties are cool XD Apparently, you are a very sharp dressed man. It shows in Eruei. I like that torso, and the arm design is great. The legs look fine, they're just not terribly complex. And where's the crime in that? The tail coat is a nice addition, it SUITS him well. Hurr hurr. And did I see a Komau in that Gif? ',:)
It shows on Eruei? And the picture of myself doesn't show anything? XDD The crime is that I spent 6 hours to get that simple, unoriginal thing. That's the crime )= That joke... *facepalm* And yes, you saw a Komau. But why the blue one, if I was never a fan of Vhisola precisely...? ;3
Quoting Lego METAL this better get 10/10 from the judges!
It better! They are not the only ones that keep dangerous things sealed! 8D
Quoting Callan Lord of Fire Dang, I wish I could've thought of something this clever! Good luck making the next round, even though the only way you wouldn't is if the judges were bribed. ;)
Haha, thanks a lot! But... Hands off the wallet, Callan! e__e
Quoting Max W. To be entirely honest, I don't see the coat, but you're certainly right about the proportions, and the bow was a great touch. I like it, and it's definitely something you can build on in the coming rounds. Good luck!
Yeah, I know, it's a bit hard to see since it has a different model of coat. See those grey axles on the waist? Imagine that they're the buttons, and the coat is closed. Hmm... I should have added a drawing. Too late, I guess... Hey, you realized that too! Glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks I developed the MOC well for adaptative forms! Thanks a lot, dear! ^^
Quoting [ Chro ] Very creative entry, just as I'd expect from you. Let's hope your opponents are "ready for suffer," haha... good luck, LA! :D
Don't want to be cruel or arrogant, but I hope I can make suffer my next rival if I pass! You know, it's better make suffer than suffer xD
Quoting A Sargent Awesome job, L.A. My puny entry is doomed...Good luck, though you probably won't need it.
