While I was building all 20 of his models from the photo's as described on my home page, When I was done building the Vintage Car and it sat on the table in front of me it made me think about the Car Brand Morgan and specifically the Morgan Aero 8 GT3 car that raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans a couple of years ago.
Which combined with the leftover parts laying in front of me inspired me to try and make a race version of the Vintage Car, The result of that is shown on this page.
The modification include:
2 cheese slopes on the front of the car above the grill, Just because I think it looks better that way.
Redesigned rear bumper with diffuser.
Rear-view mirrors on either side of the car. (the original model only has one on the drivers side.)
Gas/Petrol fill caps on either side of the car above the rear wheels.
Roof & roll-bars behind the seats. (When the roof is removed the roll-bars stay in place.)
The roll-bars and roof where the first modification I made and add to the model even without the rest of the modifications.
Unfortunately I don't have any photo's of the model like that and can't make them right now.
I'm not allowed to upload an LDD file of it, If you like the 5867 alternates designed by Nathanael Kuipers and wish to built them yourself you can do the same as I did (I recommend it, It's fun to do and a great learning experience) or buy the books he published with detailed building instructions. for more info click here.)
As this model will be in the second book which isn't out yet, I'm not sure if these mods can be done in the same way. If it can be done I will post some photo's/instructions on the modifications I did like the roof and the rear spoiler but only if I get Nathanael Kuipers permission to do so.
