The M60A1 Minuteman was, as far as I am concerned, a groundbreaking mech. But because it was my first humanoid mech attempt, the proportions were way off and the frame was something of an Izzo knock-off. A few months after building the Mk. I, I started making minor improvements. These changes eventually got to the point where I made it a project to re-make the Minuteman, and make it everything it could be.

This is probably my last MOC for a while. At the time I am writing this, a summer off from college is about to end, and I will be returning to classes and trying to line up internships. As such, I am in a position where I will probably be away from my LEGO bricks for more than a year. I still have a couple of unfinished projects in my WIP box. Maybe it's my dark ages, maybe it's not. Anyway, there's always CAD renderings. Peace, and enjoy the mech.

The Minuteman Mk.II started as several minor changes to the Mk.I. It is now even more heavily based on the Izzo mecha frame.

Here's a quick rundown of the changes. There were a lot of things I was not happy with in the Mk. I, not the least of which is the Mk.I's completely solid torso.

As with the Mk.I, the Mk.II can dock with the endcap. The endcap itself has undergone some minor changes for better fit, but should still be compatible with the Mk.I.

Much of the Minuteman's equipment has been updated as well. The fire extinguisher still has the big tank on the back, and the grappling hook cannon can now attach either to the arm or shoulder blade hardpoint.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Six-barreled autocannons still work just fine. It did gain more ammo storage and a shoulder blade hardpoint tie-in though. The railgun on the other shoulder blade hardpoint is a new weapon, and folds in half for transport. Now I know from experience: folding cannons (xiphias style) sound about ten times cooler than they actually are.

These wings are replacements for the simple rocket packs of the Mk.I. Why wings? I think they look cooler.

You kept good ideas like the end-cap interface and interchangeable weapons while still making it more polished than the original. It's a good blend of big and functional, just what a mech needs. Keep up the good work!
