The Seige of Gilmore Castle. Day 2
The second day of the siege the dark magicians have removed the dead from the field for their own evil purposes.
About this creation

As morning rises the day after the initial attack A sentry stands on the wall looking for what the enemy has brought to bear today.

Blond Haired Rifleman: “Oh my gods”

Brown Haired Rifleman: “What is it?”
Blond Haired Rifleman: “Look at this”

Brown Haired Rifleman: “I don’t see anything”

Brown Haired Rifleman: “Oh my gods”

Blond Haired Rifleman: “What are we going to do?”
Brown Haired Rifleman: “Call the commander”
The Blond Haired Rifleman runs to the end of the walkway and calls for the Commander.

Riflemens Commander: “What is it?”
Brown haired Rifleman: “Sir I think you want to see this”

Riflemens Commander: “Let me see that telescope. Where am I looking?”
Brown Haired Rifleman: “Right over there sir”

Riflemens Commander: “Heavy siege equipment the walls can stand up to those.”
Blond Haired Rifleman: “The is more sir.”

Riflemens Commander: “I wouldn’t worry son the walls are strong we hired the Dwarves to build them they will hold.”
Brown Haired Rifleman: “I wish that was all, look up the hill a bit sir.”

Riflemens Commander: “Cannons! How did they get those?”

Riflemens Commander: “They are ready to fire.”

Riflemens Commander: “Every one of the wall! NOW!”

The men Begin running for the Stairs.

A low boom can be heard as the cannons fire their deadly munitions.

The impact of the rounds on the wall takes everyone by surprise and those who are not already safe on the ground are thrown down off the wall.

Groans come from all those on the ground.

Standing up the Commander yells, “Alright you sorry sobs get to the wall the enemy is going to be coming at us soon be ready for them, move.”

The wall soon rang of soldiers running to positions as the sound of battle called for them to stop and hide from its tantalizing and evil howl. Never once did a soldier or militiaman waiver they ran towards the scream of battle ready to defend the walls of the castle. The Commander calling to them, “Good you go there come on move we don’t have all day.”

The next wave of artillery flew at them the catapults throwing rocks at the alarmed castle.

Every Kind of dangerous round from the artillery flew at the wall.

Bracing themselves as the walls were hit the men stood, looking out they could see the enemy begin their attack.

Charging with various siege weapons the attackers try to reach the wall with utmost speed.

Finally over the sound of charging footsteps the call could be heard to fire. As the round balls leave the barrel of the rifles the attackers continued charging.

The charging enemy doesn’t stop for their fallen.

Riflemens Commander: “Fire at will.”
Herbert comes up to talk with the Commander: “I have a way to get a message for help out.”
Riflemens Commander: “How I thought that they were blocking the messages from the mirror.”

Herbert: “I know but I have created a potion which will let me send the message.”
Riflemens Commander: “Well why haven’t you used it?”

Herbert: “I tried but It didn’t work the block is still in effect.”
Riflemens Commander: “Then Why are you telling me this?”
Herbert: “Because it can still work.”
Riflemens Commander: “How?”
Herbert: “I have to ride out beyond the block then use the potion.”
Riflemens Commander: “That is a suicide mission.”
Herbert: “I know but it is the only way.”
Riflemens Commander: “I don’t like it.”
Herbert: “You think I do but I have to, I am the only one that could make it I have used all of my ingredients to create enough healing potions to last till help arrives.”

Riflemens Commander: “I wish you luck my friend.”
Herbert: “Thank you, George.”

Herbert leaves and the Commander turns back to the battle.
Riflemens Commander (George): “Keep up that fire boys we have to keep them back!”

The enemy set up a small wooden barricade for their musketeers to fire from.

The over whelming numbers throw themselves at the defenses of the castle.

Their losses don’t slow them down as they charge.

They hold their formations no matter how many they loose.

But finally it is realized that the walls will not fall. The men in the lead turn and run.

More and more men run as the attack falls apart.

The retreating men begin running into those still attacking creating havoc. George has ordered his men to not fire on the retreating enemy to conserve ammo.

The havoc ends with a full retreat

As the enemy soldiers flee the field of battle leaving their dead behind the castle’s defenders let up a cheer.
