Autumn Class Cruiser
The Autumn Class Cruiser. Three guesses as to where the name came from.
About this creation
Length: 15.6 metres
Width: 4.7 metres (at widest point)
Height: 6 metres (at highest point)
Armament: 4 point defence turrets, 10 medium lasers, one heavy laser, one Heavy Navrathium Cannon
Crew: Five: Captain, Gunner, Navigator/engineer, Helmsman, Auxiliary crewman
The Autumn Class cruiser was rolled in 2888 out not long after the Orca class. It saw a lot of action in the early years of the Kranaxian war, and, due to its super-solid construction and renowned strength, continued to be a key ship in the UES fleet until the end of the war in 2989. They are still in service to this day. They are renowned for their strength and cargo capacity. The Raptus was part of battle-group Iron-storm, led by the Thunder Child.

Space Opera Angle: Got to have this

One of the four turrets

A blurry pic of the boarding hatch

A better Pic of the hatch with a crewman in it

Front section removed

Helm station. My hand is there to hold it up. You still have no idea what I look like (unless you were at the BrisBricks expo on the 15th of June)

Down the barrel of the ship. Captain and Weapons up on top, cargo deck down below

Top deck. This is where all the action happens.

Engineering mounted on the wall, navigation to the side

Underside of the ship. Boring

4th surface, maybe:
This was a fun build, with it all studs forward. Except for when it all fell apart. If you haven’t guessed already, the class is named after the Pillar of Autumn from Halo, because the shape is very similar. I hope you like this ship. I want to get a picture of it with the Thunder Child at some point. And yes, it is a different background.

Quoting David Roberts A good looking ship. I like how you've dealt with the techinical issues of the opening side hatch and making the ship wider at the back and narrower up at the front.
Yeah, that wasn't easy. It fell apart in my hands more than once.

Yes, that's what I was going for. I'm glad it's recognizable.

Quoting søren johansen Great ship. If I may give You some advice on the hull, try to shape it a bit more. Maybe some wings at the back and some finns on the bottom. When You build SNOT like this You don't have any studs to build from. Try to insert some bricks with studs 2 sides. It will give You a lot more options to shape the ship, make it wider and so on. Just some advice:-)
Thanks. Yeah, i know what you mean, but in this case, I was going for that particular look, based on the Ship from Halo: Combat Evolved.
