The Cube of Mondrian
3D interpretation of 2D Mondrian art.
About this creation
Let me present you my Cube of Mondrian.
This MOC is my entry for the L13 contest on BrickPirate named "The Great Painters". Thanks to this entry, I arrived second in the contest.

So this is a cube, not a painting and the contest specifically asked to prepresent a painting. So where is the painting ?
Start looking at the faces of the cube and take some distance.

Let's begin with the front face:
Mondrian's Cube: Front

And you will see the first painting based on the one of the most famous original painting from Piet Mondrian.

But wait, there is more, look at the left side:
Mondrian's Cube: Left

This is again another original painting from Mondrian. But this is still not over. Let's try a top-down view:
Mondrian's Cube: Top

This time we have a painting inspired by Mondrian.

Then similarly, we have the two remaining faces : right ...
Mondrian's Cube: Right

... and back.
Mondrian's Cube: Back

Those are not just mirrored copy from the other sides, there are some differences.

And last but not least, one additional shot of the inside of the cube.
Inside the Cube of Mondrian

A lot of fun and a good mind challenge.

Comments welcome.

Quoting Luc Byard A lovely piece of Lego sculpture. The art style it uses is instantly recognised and interpreting that style in three dimensions is artistically noteworthy in itself. Well done.
Thank you so much. :)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Absolutely brilliant. Lego was made for a 3D recreation of a Mondrian painting and this looks just rignt. You have captured the relationship/ratios of colours perfectly
Thanks!

Quoting matt rowntree I think if Piet had Lego, THIS would be the result. Fantastic work of Art beautifully recreated in 3D. The Lego color palette is spot on and your placement is perfect. I get a real kick out of the side and top views. Your layering choices are outstandingly fun. I'd say the Art works better this way in Lego, but then I am a bit biased. ;) Brilliant!
Thank you so much, this is a very nice comment. ;)
